Tottenham fans group plan to protest after Everton game despite Spurs staying top

Supporters group ‘Change Tottenham’ will protest against the club’s ownership following their final game of the season against Everton, regardless of whether Spurs avoid relegation from the Premier League.
Having lost 2-1 against Chelsea on Tuesday, Tottenham must avoid defeat against Everton to ensure survival despite West Ham’s result against Leeds United. Tottenham are two points clear of third-bottom West Ham, and their superior goal difference means a draw will suffice.
However, if Spurs lose to Everton, they will be eliminated by beating West Ham.
Should they survive, Spurs will finish 17th for the second season in a row, although their top-flight finish last season came amid a Europa League campaign that saw Ange Postecoglou guide them to final glory against Manchester United.
And, while Tottenham’s Change calls on fans to follow the team to finish the season in style, the team plans to use the result to send a message to the ENIC Group that owns the team, CEO Vinai Venkatesham and sporting director Johan Lange.
“This Sunday, for 90 minutes, we need to go behind the team. Nothing else is important. We need points and the players need each of us behind them for the last time this season,” said a statement from Change for Tottenham.
“When the final whistle blows, regardless of the result, we need to represent the board by putting us in this critical situation. It’s not just one season, these are two disastrous games that ended in a row, which led to the decision of how we stand in the Premier League on the last day of this campaign.
“Thomas Frank should have been fired a few months before he was fired and Igor Tudor should not have been appointed, which led to our biggest defeat in the club’s history.
“We were desperate in January for new songs, every fan could see it and the board did nothing. Their excuse? Johan Lange told us to “keep up the discipline” and avoid “pressure buying.”
“January was a missed opportunity to secure this club’s Premier League future – a mistake with fatal consequences.
“[Daniel] Levy is gone and nothing has changed as it was never the same man. It is ENIC and the Lewis family, who own us and have no say. Promised success, delivered failure.
“The decline in the last seven years has been terrifying, from challenging for major honors to being on the brink of being relegated to a “changing” field that has not changed a thing.
“In everything, you fans were everything.
“So on Sunday, our banners will go up in the North, East and South at full time regardless of the result.
“We will not allow this to happen again. ENIC OUT. VINAI OUT. LANGE OUT.”
