It may seem like the balls have gotten a lot better as the temperatures get warmer, and no ERA or WHIP is safe these days. I may have to avoid the starters in Sacramento until further notice. Gage Jump proved to be a good compromise find as well. Eury Perez seemed to have no problems on Bing Bong, but he was pulled with a strong perfecto only to have the cutoff give 5 ER and record nothing. MLB managers are a rare breed these days. Hitting starters who hit hard, can’t name a closer, pull dominant pitchers, or just make a confusing roster known to fantasy managers. I hold to the belief that most of us can fill out a roster card and win more games than some of these guys. Then again, I haven’t been treading water for a few teams this year, so what do I know? Let’s see which managers completely dominate the RCLs in our July Master Standings and which were the most successful this past week in week 15.
‘PERTY ‘PERTS
Each week we’ll take a peek at our residents to see who wants the best “professional” RCLer in the country. We will take notes, check postures and generally trap you. The article is also a link, so feel free to follow along as we go.
Mike C extended his lead this week, scored 3.5 more points and cleared 90 points, something no one has done in the league since Itch returned with 94 in week 6. The biggest gainer this week was Coolwhip, who gained 7.5 points and moved up two places to sixth. Whip led the league in HR and RBI this week. The lowest-ranked Derek, who did the complete opposite, lost 7.5 points and finished fourth.
RAZZSLAM STANDINGS UPDATE
Each week we’ll also look at the top ten standings in our other Razzball sponsored league, RazzSlam. This is our NFBC Best Ball league with managers from across the industry, from content providers to fans and readers like you.
Todd Clark remains the top RazzSlammer for another week with Andy Behrens having a great week coming in second overall. The biggest week came from Brent Franey, whose best RazzSlam score of 787 this week moved him ten places out of the top ten to fourth overall. Andy had the fifth most points this week with 753. Ed Rice made the biggest move thanks to his 724 points, moving him up 42 points to 193rd overall. This is the last week to make a move and get into the top two in your league and make the Championship bracket! Fingers crossed for a big week.

We have a new new leader, and if I’m going to lose to someone else, I’m fine if he’s in charge. RCL 19 is where I fielded one of my best teams this year, unfortunately, DFresh held one of the best and is currently crushing me and everyone else in RCL 19, as well as all other RCLs. Good job DFresh.
ECFBL is less of a concern because I’ve been hovering around the top ten, but Retro Vertigo is running away with it and I’d love to see a hero from one of our legacy leagues.
Last month’s overall group, There’s a Drive, falls to fourth place in this review.
I love seeing big jumps, CPWinos cracking the top ten with a jump of 58 spots is amazing, but Dunphys Joint Venture moving up 92 spots in one of the toughest leagues out there takes the cake.
Maybe you can make a big move before the August update, get cracking!

Six trades this week involving 17 players, and some great moves this week. I’ve had a few trade offers for Miller in a few leagues and haven’t found anything worth moving him, not sure about this one either, but in all of theirs.

Well, at least my feelings for the week were filled with numbers. We absolutely crushed the Run, HR, and RBI records this week. And yet, somehow, the Moosejaw Lemmings managed a sub 1 ERA and WHIP, surprisingly. Of course I didn’t, my ECFBL team had a 9.37 ERA thanks to Imai’s blowout, first offense Hunter Greene fresh out of IL and Gage Jump & Peyton Tolle combined. Wow. Congratulations to Vin, BillyAngel, and the TripleBs on record weeks. The Moosejaw Lemmings actually tied the WHIP record, doing so with fewer IP.

Summary: What a ridiculous week! Runs, HR, and RBI would have been new records for the week if other teams hadn’t done better in Runs and RBI this week. Doing all that and maintaining flawless proportions is even more impressive. Five players hit three home runs apiece to power BillyAngel to Team of the Week honors: Wilson Contreras and Luis Garcia Jr. drove in nine steals, while Otto Lopez and Manny Machado both had seven RBIs and a steal. Kyle Stowers hit .423 with seven RBIs and ten runs scored. Bobby Witt Jr (2 HR/2 SB) and Jordan Walker (2 HR/9 RBI) were also key contributors. Bryce Miller threw seven innings of 2 ball with eight strikeouts to get the win to lead the team in hitting. Gerrit Cole (7 Ks) and JT Ginn picked up the other two wins. Troy Melton, Kevin Gausman, and Will Warren had great outings with seven punchouts apiece. Trevor Megill picked up three saves in shutout innings, while Jake Latz threw three complete innings and had two saves. Aroldis Chapman recorded saves in both appearances. The big week was good for seven points earned and moved BillyAngel up one place to third place in the RCL 8.
