Manchester United v Nottingham Forest: Commentary, updates, goals and stats

Old Trafford will say goodbye to midfielder Casemiro when Manchester United take on Nottingham Forest this afternoon.
The Brazilian has spent four seasons at United after joining from Real Madrid in August 2022 and has proven to be a fan favourite.
He will go on to play a key role in the club’s dramatic turnaround this season under interim manager Michael Carrick.
“I can say that since I was here I met him and worked with him, he has been good to us, to me personally, that’s what he gave us,” said Carrick about Casemiro.
“It helps to be clear, to know the situation, for him and for us, to put his head in a place where he can give everything now that it’s about to end.
“It’s admirable for him the way he’s gone. As it’s getting to the end and it’s clear, it’s easy to go back another way. He’s fully invested, he’s fully supported as a staff in his playing. He’s had some incidents during the year, [but] to finish strong and see that the connection with the supporters is great to see. “
Third-placed United have already clinched a Champions League place and Forest are safe from missing out.
