Man Utd are ready to move for “one of the best midfielders in Europe” to replace Tonali

Manchester United are now ready to take a “gamble” on Teun Koopmeiners this summer, while Juventus are willing to sell him and INEOS are willing to restart their stadium.

Man Utd intend to refurbish the stadium

Last summer, it was the frontline that INEOS spoke to. Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko all arrived and have all been successful additions since then.

12 months later, he is the best midfielder. With Casemiro heading for the exit door as a free agent and doubts emerging over Manuel Ugarte’s future, those at Old Trafford are reportedly eyeing two additions in the middle of the park.

If the latest rumors are anything to go by, then Elliot Anderson is still Man United’s main target in this department. If they can stamp out the interest of rivals Manchester City and others, then United could welcome a revolutionary, big-money midfielder to the Nottingham Forest man this summer.

No outfielder has been inherited more times than Elliot Anderson in Europe’s top five leagues this season

It is more than Anderson that Man United have a big decision to make. Adam Wharton and Sandro Tonali are the other two best arrivals, and these are especially threatening to steal the headlines.

Like Anderson, the Italian will not come cheap and other clubs are interested. If Newcastle United remain as stubborn as they were for Alexander Isak last year, it could be the saga of the summer for INEOS.

Tonali has certainly been rated by Old Trafford, but if INEOS wants to finish his business at the beginning of this summer, he may decide to look at the Serie A star.

Man Utd ready to take Koopmeiners “gamble”

According to Italy’s Tuttosport, as relayed by TeamTalk, Man United are now ready to take a “gamble” on Koopmeiners this summer and sign a player Juventus must sell.

The Dutchman has struggled in Turin – gradually falling apart under many different managers. As a minor league player these days, he has been seen as a potential signing by Juventus just two years after arriving from Atalanta for over £40m.

Manchester United have a new target to pursue ahead of the summer transfer window.

Alas, Juventus’ trash can quickly become Man United’s treasure. The Red Devils need to strengthen the midfield and Koopmeiners could come cheaper than Tonali, while offering the flexibility to play at centre-back, midfield and in the 10 position.

“He’s beautiful, he’s smart, he’s smart, he’s got personality. I expect that once you see what he does on the field, there’s always a next step. I care about him.” (Luciano Spalletti on Koopmeiners)

At his best, Koopmeiners received rave reviews with journalist Buchi Laba describing him as “easily one of the best midfielders in Europe”. Even Spalletti’s words, themselves, are unlikely to save his position at Juventus, however, as the door opens for a Man United move this summer.
