Fantasy Baseball Streamers for Week 5

We celebrated a pot named Noah for Easter, and we’re back with more action. We actually have two Noahs as hosts this week. It’s hard to believe that there are many Noahs because I honestly don’t think I’ve ever met a person named Noah. I saw that disappointing Darren Aronofsky movie called Noah, but hopefully this Noah will be better than that. Our broadcasters last week went well again, and we are looking to build on that momentum. With that in mind, let’s take a look at this week’s favorable matchups and dive into those Noahs in the streamers category.

Popular Team Games

7 Games

Atlanta Braves (at WAS, vs. PHI)

Boston Red Sox (vs. NYY, in BAL)

Colorado Rockies (vs. SD, NYM)

6 Games

Chicago White Sox (at ARI, vs. WAS)

Kansas City Royals (vs. BAL, vs. LAA)

New York Mets (vs. MIN, vs. COL)

San Diego Padres (COL, ARI)

Texas Rangers (vs. PIT, vs. ATH)

Throwing Streamers

Michael McGreevy, STL (at MIA, vs. SEA)

I can’t say this guy’s name without making an Irish accent. I did the same with Riley O’Brien, and it makes you wonder if the Card GM is Irish too. In any case, McGreevy has been taking advantage of the Irish’s fortunes in the early weeks. The right-hander allowed three or fewer runs in every four starts en route to a 2.49 ERA and 0.83 WHIP.

That’s an encouraging start to the season, but not so surprising when you consider that McGreevy had a 4.17 ERA and 1.19 WHIP heading into September of last year. The strikeouts are lacking, but that’s not a big deal as McGreevy has a first week against the streak. Miami has been one of the lowest scoring teams over the last few years, while Seattle sits at 20th in scoring, 24th in wOBA and 27th in K rate.

Average Stream: $-39.2

Spencer Arrighetti, HOU (at CLE)

We had Arrighetti as one of our hosts last week, and things went well! He was in Triple-A when that article was published, but the Astros desperately needed him to fill in this short rotation. It’s easy to see why they selected him because Arrighetti has amassed a 1.26 ERA, 0.77 WHIP and 12.6 K/9 rate in three starts in Triple-A this season. That form carried over into his debut, allowing one run in six innings while striking out 10 batters. We also saw Arrighetti average a 2.90 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 11.4 K.9 over his last 11 starts in 2024. It’s the last time we’ve seen this guy healthy, and Cleveland is far from being about parity. Guardian is 18th in runs scored and 29th in wOBA last season.

Streaming Average: $-19.1

David Peterson, NYM (vs. COL)

We always pick streamers when the Rockies are on the road. The result at Coors Field made Colorado the lowest-scoring road team in more than a decade now. They were already near the bottom of every offensive stat, even at Coors Field, but still sat 27th in xwOBA and dead-last in K rating. That becomes a nightmare in a pitcher’s park like Citi Field, where they will only seem to score 3-4 runs in each of these games.

All of that makes Peterson an easy choice as one of our starters, posting a 3.18 ERA and 1.25 WHIP last year before a terrible final month. He’s gotten off to a slow start this year, but this cake mix at Citi Field really lets him down. He actually had one start at home against the Rockies last season, allowing one run in 5.2 innings. That’s why his Streamonator predictions are so high among our streamers, despite the slow start.

Streamonator Rating: $48.5

Noah Cameron, KC (vs. LAA)

Cameron was one of our presenters on Easter Sunday, and we’re going straight back to the religious source. The Royals righty has quietly been one of their most consistent arms since being called up. Cameron had a 2.99 ERA and 1.10 WHIP in 24 starts in his rookie campaign last season and has a 3.94 ERA and 1.25 WHIP this year. He also allowed three runs or fewer in 21 of 27 career starts, while registering a 2.93 ERA and 1.11 WHIP at home last year. Starting at home against the Angels couldn’t have been a better opportunity because the team had the lowest K rate in baseball last season and sits at 24th this year. A lack of hitters is the only real concern with Cameron, but that means nothing against a roster like LA’s.

Streaming Average: $-1.2

Noah Schultz, CWS (vs. WAS)

Schultz is one of the best players in baseball, and it’s amazing to see a 6’10” guy take the mound. The left-hander struggled in his debut, but that puts him in the streamers category as many fantasy managers have already dumped him. We’ll benefit from that move because Schultz was a big leaguer.

He had a 2.86 ERA and 1.18 WHIP while striking out 253 batters in 207 innings at the minor league level. Schultz also averaged a 1.29 ERA, 0.43 WHIP and 12.2 K/9 in Triple-A this season, so they couldn’t keep him down there. Facing Tampa was a tough matchup in his debut, but starting at home against Washington is a much easier place to land. Even though they were one of the teams with the most points, we can’t believe they were 25th in wOBA last season.

Streaming Average: $-4.3

Hitting Streamers

Dominic Smith, ATL (in WAS, vs. WHERE)

It wasn’t clear what kind of role Smith would have in Atlanta this season, but they can’t stop his belt from coming off the roster right now. He has played in six of the last seven games and is tied for the RBI lead behind every All-Star on the Braves’ roster. That has allowed Smith to see some sexy pitches, providing a .381 AVG, .643 SLG and 1.043 OPS so far this season. That’s the stud prospect we saw back in his Mets days, posting a .299 AVG, .571 SLG and .937 OPS between 2019 and 2020.

Obviously that was a long time ago, but at least we know you have the ability! What makes him so attractive as one of our presenters this week is his strong schedule. Not only does Atlanta play seven games, but they face six right fielders. Smith had a .296 AVG and .779 OPS against righties last year and has the best split against them of his entire career.

Jake Burger, TEX (vs. PIT, vs. ATH)

This is the third time Burger has played as one of our hosts. What is difficult to understand is why people are not hungry at this time. Burger has re-established himself as an everyday hitter for the Rangers and is back to his power hitting ways. This first baseman has a .253 AVG, .507 SLG and .785 OPS in 19 games this season.

Those are the averages that impressed Texas when they signed him, with Burger hitting 63 homers between 2023 and 2024 while producing a .488 SLG and .793 OPS. That’s a player who should be picked in every fantasy league, and he has a great schedule this week. He avoids Paul Skenes and Mitch Keller in the Pirates rotation and gets a three game set against the A’s team with the worst rotation in baseball.

SAGNOF (Saves/Steals No Face)

Theft Specialists

Nasim Nunez (WAS)

Nunez has developed into an everyday player for the Nats and is among the league leaders with seven steals.

David Hamilton (MIL)

Hamilton has also played almost every day in Milwaukee, recording four steals so far this season. He had 55 steals in just 511 games over the past two years and could be one of the league leaders if he goes over 100 games this year.

Keeps Professionals

Bryan Baker (TB)

Baker has been getting nearly every save opportunity in Tampa, picking up four saves in his last five games.

Abner Uribe (MIL)

With Trevor Megill struggling, Uribe got cash earlier this week. Uribe has a 1.96 ERA and 1.05 WHIP from last season.
