Chelsea have Al Ahli manager Matthias Jaissle on their radar

Chelsea’s ongoing search for a touchline appears to be far from resolved, with several names now being linked with a possible managerial change.

After a bad incident at the club, Liam Rosenior was fired from the club on Wednesday.

Having failed to win in their last five Premier League games without scoring a goal, the Blues management decided it was time for another change.

The Premier League giants parted ways with Enzo Maresca at the beginning of the year and after just four months in charge of the club, Rosenior has been demoted from his job as Chelsea fight to qualify for the Champions League next season.

According to TEAMtalk, Al Ahli coach Matthias Jaissle has emerged as one of the latest players to be considered as a possible replacement for Rosenior.

Although no final decision has been made, Chelsea’s leadership is believed to be evaluating a number of profiles, from budding tacticians to well-known names with high-level experience.

The inclusion of Jaissle, along with several other high-profile players, shows how seriously the club is taking its long-term planning after a period marked by inconsistency and rebuilding.

Jaissle’s rise through the ranks has been rapid, but has also been impressive enough to attract the attention of Europe’s biggest clubs.

The 38-year-old began his managerial journey in 2021 with Austrian club FC Liefering, part of the Red Bull football network known for developing young coaching talent.

His work there quickly earned him a promotion to Red Bull Salzburg, where he enjoyed two productive seasons that included strong domestic performances and competitive displays in European competitions.

Currently in charge of Al Ahli, Jaissle has gained valuable experience in handling high expectations and working with star-studded teams.

Several other names are on the radar of the Blues hierarchy

Chelsea are also keen to look into the possibility of talking to German national team manager Julian Nagelsmann, a coach who is widely respected for his wisdom and ability to manage top clubs such as RB Leipzig and Bayern Munich.

Several Premier League-tested managers are also being linked. Oliver Glasner, currently associated with Crystal Palace, has built a reputation for organizing modest, hard-working teams that can compete against strong opposition.

Meanwhile, Andoni Iraola, known for his energetic and pressure-based style at AFC Bournemouth, has impressed with his ability to lift teams beyond expectations.

Another interesting name mentioned by Cesc Fàbregas, currently in charge of Como. The former Chelsea midfielder brings a deep understanding of the club’s culture and playing philosophy, which could make him a long-term option should the club decide to work with a younger manager.
