Bournemouth have decided to resist the interest of the three wanted

Bournemouth are determined to land three of their most sought-after players this summer amid interest from Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United.

The Cherries have just secured their sixth-highest league finish, which comes with a first trip to next season’s European competition, and have already made a move to replace the much-loved Andoni Iraola with Marco Rose.

The south coast outfit have become accustomed to seeing their best-selling assets move to big budget clubs in the past year (Milos Kerkez, Dean Huijsen, Illia Zabarnyi, Antoine Semenyo), but they are determined to avoid a repeat of the situation in the transfer window.

Bournemouth decided to keep three key players

According to a report from TEAMtalk, Bournemouth are willing to take a tough stance on key players like them. Alex Scott, Rayan and Eli Junior Kroupi, and the managers of the Vitality Stadium do not see the need to sell these three players because of the prestige and money brought by qualifying for the Europa League.

The Cherries want to reward the £60m midfielder with a new contract amid interest from Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle.

Meanwhile, the record-breaking French striker is also wanted by the Gunners, with January arrival Vasco da Gama (understood to have an £86.5m release clause) reportedly being targeted at Anfield and Old Trafford, as well as being monitored by Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid.

Bournemouth are determined to prove they are more than just a stepping stone

Bournemouth may have been powerless to stop Kerkez’s men, Huijsen and Semenyo from leaving, but the Europa League qualifiers have changed goals since the exit.

Rose is rightly determined to keep Scott, Rayan and Kroupi on the Vitality pitch, and the incoming coach is well aware that he has a very tough act to follow in Iraola, and the need for a deep squad to cope with the increased demands of European football.

Keeping all three would be difficult, especially if blockbuster offers are on the table and players want out, but keeping some or all of them would send a signal of intent that the Cherries are not just one-season wonders.

With the last two Europa League finals (and the Conference League) won by English clubs, Bournemouth may firmly believe they have a chance to emulate the winners if they retain a large part of the 2025/26 crop next season.

If the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United want to lure the Cherries’ prized possession away from the Vitality Stadium, they will have to use all their powers of influence, as well as some extravagant offers.
