Barca won the LaLiga title in El Clasico

Barcelona won their second LaLiga title after beating Real Madrid 2-0 in El Clasico, marking the first time since 1932 that they have won the Spanish league title in a match between the arch-rivals.

Marcus Rashford and Ferran Torres both found the net in the first half to give Hansi Flick’s side a memorable victory at the Nou Camp.

The German head coach, who led the team despite the death of his father, will now look to record a 100% domestic record for the season and equal the LaLiga record of 100 points.

At Real, it ends a painful few days for the club, following reports of several clashes in the dressing room and rumors of a new manager next season.

A dream start for the hosts

Torres was brought down by Antonio Rudiger on the edge of the Real Madrid box nine minutes into the clash at the Nou Camp.

Rashford rose to curl into the top corner to set up Thibaut Courtois and give Hansi Flick’s side an early lead.

The advantage was doubled when, just nine minutes later, Torres was beaten by the brave Dani Olmo before expertly sending the ball past Courtois.

Barca was running away from tying, and Real are in danger of their season dying in disgrace.

With only 30 minutes to go, the happy home fans started chanting ‘ole’ as the hosts were in possession of the ball.

Los Blancos launched a fight midway through the first half, but both Gonzalo Garcia and Vinicius Jr wasted chances to reduce the deficit.

On the other hand, Olmo grabbed a chance to increase the lead, but the Spaniard widened his effort.

A burning issue

Tempers flared after the break, with Olmo and Real’s Raul Asencio being substituted following the ruckus.

Both Barca goal scorers went close again, but this time Courtois was denied as Barca looked to be firmly in control of the game.

Trent Alexander-Arnold and substitute Raphinha then went to the book, as Real tried hard to get back into the game and make the last quarter of an hour uncomfortable for their opponents.

But it was Barca who seemed to have a chance to score. Robert Lewandowski, who came off the bench, tested Courtois in what proved to be the last real act of the game.

Barca saw the game out to exciting scenes at the final whistle.
