In a World Cup with more days between games than the 2022 finals, fellow hosts USA have enjoyed a rest as a team since their 4-1 win over Paraguay in Los Angeles last Saturday to kick off their tournament.
“Spending this time with these guys is amazing,” forward Brenden Aaronson (via USMNT) said, adding that the players watched each play take place in the early days of the finals.
“I always play video games with the boys, whether it’s Clash Royale on our phones, PGA, FIFA or other games.
“We always like to have fun with each other [against Paraguay] it was up there for me as one of the best US crowds I’ve seen in a long, long time.
“It was amazing. It was top notch. We’re going to Seattle knowing we’re going to have the same results, so we’re excited about that. It definitely pushed us to have such a good game.”

“They’re going to come out aggressive and take the lead,” predicted defender Cameron Burgess, praising the USA’s “amazing talent”.
“We analyzed it [Turkiye] as much as we could and we knew exactly what their strengths were, both on and off the ball.
“It is an honor for the coaching staff, the analysts, that they gave us all the information we could get, and that the boys took everything and left the field to do that.

Christian Pulisic impressed against Paraguay before the Milan striker was replaced by the USA at half-time with a calf problem.
The striker trained in isolation on Monday but head coach Mauricio Pochettino called his captain’s prediction “good”, while midfielder Tyler Adams responded with a call to “relax” when asked about his team-mates.
“Christian will be fine,” added Adams. “I think he hit the ball a few days before the game and I think he got kicked in the same spot.
“When you come in at halftime, things get difficult within 15, 20 minutes. But he will be ready.”
