Liverpool have officially stepped up their search for a long-term replacement for Mohamed Salah, with RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande emerging as the club’s “top target”.
According to Sky Sports reporter Florian Plettenberg, the 21-year-old has advanced to Liverpool’s shortlist conference following a mutual agreement between club officials.

Plettenberg reports that concrete talks are already underway with Diomande’s new representatives at Roc Nation Sports, indicating that the Reds are laying the groundwork for a blockbuster summer move.

Yan Diomande could be the best player for Liverpool
On paper, Diomande represents a good fit. Known for his explosive pace, high-volume dribbling, and clinical finishing from the right, the Ivorian international displays many of the qualities that made Salah a legend at Anfield.
At just 21, Diomande is delivering a decade of power at the highest level. His ability to cut inside on his left foot and provide both goals and assists will allow Liverpool to maintain their attacking identity behind Salah.
