Leeds United has not rested in saying that it accepts that it will be in another structure to avoid relegation from the Premier League next season.

It adds that he will be ‘watching’ Leeds as they pursue a new target this summer, while a report from GOAL earlier this month claimed it would take more than £30m to secure his services.

The 21-year-old striker would be eligible to spend in the coming weeks as his form in Belgium suggests he can contribute more than Calvert-Lewin at the other end of the pitch.

Tresoldi, described as “Luis Suarez regen” by scout Jacek Kulig, has scored 23 goals in all competitions for Club Brugge in the 2025/26 campaign, while the England striker has never scored more than 21 goals in a season in his long career.

The Leeds transfer target has bagged an eye-catching 19 goals from 16.60 xG in his club’s Pro League, showing he can finish off chances at an impressive rate.

He was more clinical with his chances than Calvert-Lewin in the 2025/26 campaign, as evidenced by their different xG numbers, and that suggests he will be a more effective goalscorer for the Whites than the Englishman.

While some fans may question how the Pro League translates to the Premier League, Tresoldi has also scored three goals and provided one assist in seven starts in the Champions League, beating Atletico Madrid, Barcelona and Monaco.
