The USA and Bosnia and Herzegovina confirmed their squads for their last 32 match at the 2026 World Cup in San Francisco on Thursday.

The hosts beat Paraguay 4-1 and Australia 2-0 to win Group D before losing 3-2 with a 98th-minute goal to Turkiye.

Winners of the European play-offs, Sergej Barbarez’s team drew 1-1 with Canada, lost 4-1 to Switzerland and beat Qatar 3-1, passing as one of the best third-place teams.

The winners will face the winners of Belgium vs Senegal in the last 16 in Seattle on July 7 (01:00 BST).
