Real Madrid have opened disciplinary proceedings after Valverde was admitted to hospital with a head injury

Real Madrid has filed disciplinary charges against Federico Valverde and Aurelien Tchouameni following an incident that occurred at the club’s training ground.
The incident reportedly took place just days before Sunday’s title clash with Barcelona, with Real confirming Valverde suffered cranioencephalic trauma, a type of concussion.
Valverde is recovering at home
The club said the Uruguayan has been released from hospital and is now recovering at home after reports in Spain claimed Valverde was briefly unconscious during the incident.
“Valverde is at home in good condition and will have to rest for 10 to 14 days, as indicated by the medical rules of this diagnosis,” the statement read.
According to reports, the rift between the midfielders first surfaced during training on Wednesday before spilling over into the dressing room.
The situation is said to have become tense on Thursday after training in Valdebebas, where it is said that a verbal argument between the two took place.
An emergency meeting involving club president Florentino Perez, head coach Alvaro Arbeloa and captain Dani Carvajal was reportedly held later that evening.
Valverde denied the conflict in a statement
The player also took to social media to express his own issue.
He wrote: “Yesterday I had an incident with my teammates during training. Fatigue from competition and frustration makes everything seem to explode in the right way. In a normal locker room, these things can happen and are often resolved internally without public knowledge.
“It is clear that someone is spreading rumours, and since the season does not have titles, when Real Madrid is always under scrutiny, everything is under scrutiny. Today we had another disagreement.
“When we were arguing, I accidentally hit the table, it hurt my forehead and I had to visit the hospital regularly.
“I have never been hit by my partner, and I have never hit him even though I understand that it is easy for you to believe that we came to hit or it was intentional, but that did not happen.
“I feel that my frustration with this situation, my sadness at seeing some of us struggle to finish the season, I gave everything, pushed me to the point of arguing with my teammates, I’m sorry.
“Real Madrid is one of the most important things in my life, and I cannot ignore it.” The result is an accumulation of things that culminates in a senseless fight, damaging my image and leaving room for doubt that will create stories, gossip, and add fuel to the fire of danger.
“I have no doubts that any disagreements we may have outside the field will end there, and if I have to defend it on the field I will be the first. I would not speak until the end of the season.
“We were kicked out of the Champions League, I kept my frustration and anger, we wasted another year, and I wasn’t in a position to write on social media when they were the only face I showed on the field, and I feel that’s what I did.

“That’s why I’m the one who is very sad and sad to go through this situation that makes me unable to play the next game because of the doctors’ decisions.
“I always give everything, until the end, and it hurts me more than anyone that I can’t do that. I am available to the club and my colleagues to cooperate in any decision they see necessary. Thank you.”
Classico preparations are disrupted
The incident comes at a difficult time for Real Madrid ahead of El Clasico at the Nou Camp.
Anything but a win for Madrid would have given Barcelona another La Liga title with three games remaining.
