Razzball Commenter Leagues, Week 9, 2026 Fantasy Baseball

Hope everyone had a great long weekend, to those who got it. I’m keeping my introduction short and sweet this week since I have the day off and despite the rain that’s coming (lots of baseball rain this weekend), I plan to enjoy some time off, maybe stare at my list a bit, and think about why I started so many groups with Vlad Jr. and Fernando Tatis from 11th place. I believe I have three teams with this exact structure, which gets me three homers and 16 steals, and it’s almost June! These two are in need of a hot summer after the illegal start of summer. Here is hope.
‘PERTY ‘PERTS
Each week we’ll take a peek at our residents to see who wants the best “professional” RCLer in the country. We’ll take notes, check postures and generally trap you. The article is also a link, so feel free to follow along as we go.
Derek held first for another week, adding 1.5 points. Mike scored a 4.5 this week (most in the league) to move into second place (up from fifth) and is hot on Derek’s heels, just behind at 5.5. Mike had an outstanding 1.44 ERA and 0.847 WHIP in 43.2 IP. His squad also led the league in steals (with Gray) with 12. Coolwhip moved up another this week, dropping 7.5 points to fifth.
RAZZSLAM STANDINGS UPDATE
Each week we’ll also look at the top ten standings in our other Razzball sponsored league, RazzSlam. This is our NFBC Best Ball league with managers from across the industry, from content providers to fans and readers like you.

The standings were tight this week with James Sweeny remaining at the top of the pile. Roto_Wan moved up a place with Andy and Mike C holding on to fifth and seventh place for another week. Perhaps now we have reached a point where the situation does not change.
Darius Austin had the most points this week with 636, moving up 27 spots to 14th overall. Meanwhile, John Giancotti moved up a lot this week, gaining 68 places in the rankings and moving to 142nd place thanks to 621 points.

Summary: A common theme for TOW opportunities this week was Ketel Marte. The man could not be stopped. The one-man wrecking crew went 15 for 28 (.536) with 3 home runs, 11 runs scored, and 12 walks. (Lead all MLB players in hits, runs, and RBI this week). Wilson Contreras and Jordan Walker hit 2 homers and drove in 8 runs. Sal Stewart and CJ Abrams also homered twice, and Jackson Merrill had a pair of steals. During that time, Aaron Judge had 1 long ball among his 3 hits. On the pitching side, Max Meyer led the way with 13 scoreless innings in 2 wins. He allowed only 9 hits and struck out 14. Braxton Ashcraft (1 ER/9 K), Kevin Gausman (1 ER/8 K), and Logan Henderson (0 ER/7 K) all won their starts. Bryan King threw 3 shutout innings and earned 2 saves, while teammates Bryan Abreu and Andres Munoz each added 1 in the last. The big week pushed DFresh up 15 points to climb from 5th place to 1st in one, if not stronger RCL. Great job, D!
