Rangers are now close to another signing as the player flashes a £900k contract

While the rest of Scotland was stuck watching Vinícius Júnior’s Brazilian samba on Wednesday night, Rangers were busy in the transfer market.
The Gers mean business this summer and have already shown great intent when they signed Hearts captain Lawrence Shankland before bringing in manager Derek McInnes.
The former Hearts manager has now officially arrived at Ibrox and addressed fans for the first time, telling them it was an “emotional day” earlier this week.
“It’s everything really. It’s a lucky day and an emotional day. It’s a special day for me personally. The team has always been a big thing in my life growing up.
“My dad supported the club. 31 years ago, when I signed here as a player, my dad was in the gaffer’s room next door. To think I’m in that seat is very important. I feel ready, I feel comfortable with everyone, but it’s still a very special day, and it’s an absolute honor to be Rangers manager.”
McInnes will be well aware of the pressure he faces to get off to a good start, but the arrival of Shankland will help, as will the arrival of another former player.

Rangers are close to their second signing of the summer
The theme of the summer seems to be the Scottish Premiership in Glasgow.
According to Rangers Review, Rangers are now on the verge of signing Ross McCrorie after agreeing personal terms with the Scotland defender.
The Gers will pay Bristol City a fee of £900,000, which could rise to six figures if add-ons are added, while the defender has a three-year contract.
It’s another impressive signing from the Ibrox side and McInnes will be delighted, as he told reporters when McCrorie was loaned to his Aberdeen side during Rangers’ first season: “Ross McCrorie is an absolute dream of a boy, he is a Rolls-Royce.
“He didn’t want to be in the shadows, he didn’t want to just be a Rangers player, he wanted to go out and get on with his job, and I love that about him.”
It’s a full-circle moment for the right-back, who will replace the legendary James Tavernier to pick up another important job for those at Ibrox this summer.
Why McCrorie replaces the perfect Tavernier
Replacing Tavernier is Mission Impossible for Rangers this summer, and their signing of Tom Cruise has seen them turn to Bristol City’s McCrorie. The 28-year-old looks set to be the next man through the door and it’s fair to say he ticks all the boxes.
Much of Gers’ recruitment has focused on EFL talent over the past 12 months, but McCrorie is more than just a Championship star. He has seen life at Rangers, life under McInnes and plenty of life in the Scottish Premiership. Now, at the height of his power, he has planned to return at the right time.
