NHL Rumors: Will New Jersey Devils Trade Dougie Hamilton This Offseason?
Sportsnet’s Mark Spector: Edmonton Oilers forward Leon Draisaitl (knee) may not be ready for Game 1 of the Stanley Cup playoffs, but he may not be far from it.
“We’ll see,” said the rogue German on Monday morning. “There are steps that I have to follow and certain things that I have to be able to do. I’m not there yet. We’ll see how that goes at the end of the week or whenever Game 1 is.”
Coach Knoblauch said, well, after a little more skating and rehab, he’ll be ready for Game 1, but if it’s not yet, they’ll just have to deal with it.
Zach Dooley: Los Angeles Kings forward Jeff Malott will miss the remainder of their regular season games. Outfielder Alex Turcotte is getting “really close” to a return, according to coach DJ Smith.
Robby Stanley: Nashville Predators defenseman Nicolas Hague missed his fifth straight game with an upper body injury.
Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Citizen: Ottawa Senators forward Brady Tkachuk may miss the remainder of their regular season games, but is expected to be ready for the start of the playoffs. NHL Rumors: New Jersey Devils, Toronto Maple Leafs, and Washington Capitals
Winnipeg Jets PR: The Winnipeg Jets have activated defenseman Colin Miller from IR.
Mitchell Clinton: Jets coach Scott Arniel with forwards Alex Iafallo and Vladislav Namestnikov, and defenseman Neal Pionk:
“All three of these guys, a couple of them got hit the last two games. In the last game, Vladdy was the one who got hurt. They were playing through the injury and trying to get through it. We’re at a stage where, not because of where we are and we lost the other night, these guys were trying to put everything on the line to play. No, they’re not even 60 or 50 because of not moving. For some guys, some new legs, and hopefully that gives us a spark small.”
