When England played their final game of the 2026 World Cup, seven Premier League clubs were in attendance on Saturday.
Manchester United lost to Wrexham in Helsinki and six teams took part in the UK friendly.
Crystal Palace, Everton and Sunderland won by four goals, while Newcastle and Nottingham Forest also won comfortably.
Newcomers Coventry City were also in the top 20 for the 2026/27 season.
Crystal Palace vs Swindon Town: Franca hat-trick
Brazilian striker Matheus Franca scored a hat-trick inside 27 minutes of the second half as Crystal Palace hosted League Two side Swindon Town at the Eagles’ training ground.
Eddie Nketiah scored twice in the opening 21 minutes before Swindon – managed by Palace boss Ian Holloway – hit the post with an Aaron Drinan penalty and responded in the 33rd minute through 21-year-old striker Fletcher Holman.
Franca, 22, then stole the show after the break with a chip, a penalty and a solo run.

Joe Willock’s finish from Jacob Murphy’s cross and William Osula’s penalty put Newcastle 2-0 up at half-time in a close game against their National League North neighbours.

England international Sean Neave, 19, completed the scoring in the 3-0 win with a low strike.

After early goals from Enzo Le Fee and Chris Rigg, Timur Tutierov led Sunderland to a 25-goal haul at York before Le Fee added another to make it 4-0 at the break.
Greg Olley responded for the League Two side but Tom Proctor then headed the Black Cats, who won 5-1 but lost Leo Hjelde to injury later on.

Nottingham Forest won the derby with a 2-0 victory over League One side Notts County in Oliver Glasner’s first game in charge.
Morgan Gibbs-White – who scored 15 goals in the Premier League last season – set up Igor Jesus to score the first goal in the first half, while Arnaud Kalimuendo connected with Dylan Bakwa’s ball to seal the goal after the break.

Championship winners Coventry were held to a 0-0 draw at Sixfields Stadium against Northampton, who were relegated from the third tier last season.
Sky Blues boss Frank Lampard made eight changes at the break, with City claiming a second-half penalty and 21-year-old Belgian striker Norman Bassette threatening to stop the visitors.
