The good news for interested parties is that the Spanish giants are valuing the midfielder at €60m (£52m) and will not be asking clubs to trigger his cool €1bn (£865m) release clause.

For a cheaper price than Fernandes, Man United can jump ahead of PSG and get the Champions League winner in Camavinga. It wouldn’t be the first time they welcomed a Madrid star, and it would make sense on paper.
