Liverpool are making progress in their pursuit of winger Bradley Barcola
Liverpool’s pursuit of Bradley Barcola has reportedly taken a significant step forward, with the club reaching an agreement on personal terms with the Paris Saint-Germain striker.
The 23-year-old has emerged as Liverpool’s leading goal scorer as they rebuild their midfield following the departure of Mohamed Salah.
Barcola’s pace, direct running and ability to operate on either wing would give Andoni Iraola a proven yet developing striker who could become a major player at Anfield.
However, agreeing terms with Barcola is only one part of the process.
PSG are still in the thick of negotiations and are looking for a big fee before letting the Frenchman leave. No deal has been finalized between the two clubs.

According to Nicolò Schira at X, Liverpool have reached an agreement with Barcola over a contract that runs until 2032.

The proposed deal would reportedly put the midfielder among the club’s highest paid players.
Schira also said that Liverpool is preparing an offer worth more than 100 million euros.
That would represent a huge statement of intent, but PSG are said to want between 150 million euros and 170 million euros before sanctioning the transfer.
The personal deal gives Liverpool a boost as it suggests Barcola is keen to make Anfield his next destination.
However, the transfer cannot go ahead unless the Reds convince PSG to lower their price or accept a structured package that includes affordable add-ons.
Now the Reds must focus on an agreement with PSG
PSG are valuing Barcola at around £145 million which is reported to have used the Premier League’s record-breaking transfer as valuations.
Liverpool are holding preliminary talks, while Arsenal are also monitoring his situation.
From a tactical point of view, Barcola looks to be an excellent replacement for some of the range and unpredictability lost with Salah.
He can attack defenders directly, threaten space behind the line and contribute to either side.
Liverpool should push hard to complete the deal, but an agreement with the player should not pressure them into accepting any price PSG wants.
Barcola has enormous potential, yet £145 million is elite superstar money for someone not always guaranteed a first place in Paris.
A bid of more than €100 million with real bonuses would be aggressive but reasonable.
Liverpool have made progress, but direct club-to-club talks will determine whether this is a big signing or another expensive transfer rush.
