Leeds get the green light to win the transfer race against Inter and Juventus
Leeds United’s transfer business is well and truly underway. They followed the addition of Harry Wilson by splashing the cash and signing Tarik Muharemovic.
The defender is the second most expensive in the club’s history at £34m and will replace Daniel Farke in place of Pascal Struijk.
That doesn’t mean they’re done on the transfer front, though. The Whites have now got Oumar Solet in their sights and could be in for a new look at the back three.

Leeds have recruited well so far this summer and the addition of Solet will be good too. The Udinese star is a wanted man, but the Whites have recently received a major boost.
Leeds have given the green light to a deal for Oumar Solet
As reported by Pete O’Rourke of Football Insider, Leeds have been given the green light to sign Solet for a bargain price this summer. The defender has just one year left on his current deal and is available for just £20m as a result.
It’s a huge boost for the Yorkshire club, who have recently welcomed Muharemovic. They now have the task of beating Inter Milan and Juventus to a deal, as they look to complete Farke’s three new signings.
Given that Solet is at the peak of his powers as a 26-year-old defender, £20m could look like a summer deal if Leeds secure his signature.
Leeds have held private talks to sign Julian Brandt
With the backline almost sorted, Leeds once again turned their attention to Julian Brandt. Reports earlier this week revealed that the Whites have held personal talks to sign the German, who is currently free.
The former Borussia Dortmund man would certainly be a statement signing, especially on a free transfer. With Muharemovic and Wilson secured with Solet likely on the way, adding Brandt on top of that would spell the best summer of business at Elland Road.
