Jan Paul van Hecke only wants Tottenham as agreed personal terms
According to Voetbal International’s famous journalist Joost Blaauwhof, Van Hecke has made his final decision about his future.
The player from Oranje is reported to have revealed that it is “Spurs and only Spurs” for him this summer.
With personal terms completely sealed, the 25-year-old Dutchman has instructed his representatives to suspend negotiations with any other interested clubs, focusing entirely on a move to London.
He is now patiently waiting for success in the negotiations between Brighton and Tottenham.
Blaauwhof shared the following update:
“NEWS: Jan Paul van Hecke is out. It’s Spurs and only Spurs. The Oranje player is waiting for an agreement between Brighton & Hove Albion and Tottenham Hotspur, but he’s not talking to any other club. Personal terms have been agreed. There’s more to come..”

Spurs still need to agree a fee with Brighton
Despite the player’s clear desire to leave, getting a deal over the line would require Tottenham to satisfy Brighton’s financial demands.
The Seagulls have proved to be tough negotiators, having already rejected two legitimate bids from Spurs over the past week.
Brighton chief executive Paul Barber recently confirmed the club’s stance, stressing that any move must make perfect financial sense for the South Coast club.
With Van Hecke entering the final year of his current contract, Brighton are holding on to a £50m fee, refusing to lose their defensive rock on a reduced deal.
De Zerbi is close to a third signing of the summer as Spurs’ rebuild continues
If the final fee can be agreed, Van Hecke will become Roberto De Zerbi’s third major player in a busy summer window.
The manager plans to overhaul the squad following a difficult campaign that saw them survive the last day.
Having already secured Scotland international Andy Robertson and free agent Marcos Senesi’s deal coming to an end, a reunion with Van Hecke remains a priority.
The defender has thrived under De Zerbi at the Amex Stadium, making him a strategic fit for the Italian system.
