Everton in club-by-club talks to sign Premier League star

On paper, Everton’s 13th place in the Premier League last season was a mid-table situation for David Moyes’ side.
However, in the first year at the port, they ended up collecting just four points to secure a place in Europe. That sounds pretty good, right?
So, how can the Toffees cross the line and return to continental action? However, they have a crop of homegrown players on their radar that could take them to the next level.
It feels like the forward line should be at the fore for Moyes and Co and luckily, they are pushing forward with additions of that nature.
Everton are in talks to sign the Premier League winger
Many of the first conversations to come out of the blue side of Merseyside since the opening of the window have been full of Hayden Hackney’s name.
After Middlesbrough failed to gain promotion, Hackney may be taking a break and if reports are to be believed, he could join the Toffees. That’s what the player allegedly wants anyway.
However, the top is where the big additions can come. Chelsea’s Liam Delap continues to be linked with a move to Everton while Harry Wilson was also thought to be an option before signing for Leeds United.
Wilson would have been a quality signing, especially on a free transfer. Alas, Moyes’ men may have to spend a bit more to sign a player of similar interest.

Indeed, according to Football Insider, Everton are now starting to make a move to sign Jarrod Bowen from West Ham, a player Moyes knows very well. After all, it was Bowen’s winning goal that saw the now Everton boss lift the Conference League trophy while in London’s east end.
This report notes that Everton have started team-to-team discussions with the Hammers to sign the defender and have indicated that they want to stay in the Premier League.
With the Irons relegated, Bowen is expected to leave the London Stadium and could do so for £50m, according to some reports.
The 29-year-old will take some time before deciding on his next move so don’t expect anything official anytime soon.
Why Jarrod Bowen could be Everton’s new IIliman Ndiaye
From an attacking point of view, it’s safe to say that 2025/26 has been really inconsistent for the Toffees.
Beto finished the season as the club’s top scorer with ten in all competitions but Thierno Barry ended up scoring eight in his first year in English football.
When it came to consistency, there were only two men who could live up to that; Iliman Ndiaye and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.
Ndiaye, in particular, quickly became an Everton star, scoring six goals and providing three assists last season. That said, his overall performance deserves better than that. He was a constant, a constant threat. Without him, they are a very poor side.
That’s why signing Bowen would help a lot. Although this English player can play as an out and out striker, he is at the same level as Ndiaye.
Like Ndiaye, he also directs in an amazing way. He knows where the goal is and is often a big threat to any defense he faces. After 11 goals and 12 assists last season, it was a surprise to see him left out of England’s squad for the ongoing World Cup.
Bowen has been performing at a high level for several years now, notably hitting double figures in goals in his last five seasons in London. He has been one of the most consistent players in English football for a long time.

Like Ndiaye, he is a regular goalscorer and a regular chance provider. However, when it comes to their ongoing game, they are very similar.
Last season, Bowen completed 4.41 completions per 90 carries, 2.80 of which were pass completions and 1.61 of which were pass completions. How does the Everton star compare? However, the Senegalese produced 4.43 progressive actions, 2.97 progressive cars and 1.45 progressive passes.
Judging by those numbers, the threat that Moyes could pose to both sides would be huge. It will also significantly reduce the scoring burden on Beto and Barry. In Bowen, they would be signing someone who could be more powerful than their current striker options.
