Everton are now “desperate” to sign the Premier League star alongside Grealish
After signing Hayden Hackney and Tyrique George, Everton look set to return to the transfer market for further additions this summer.
The Toffees finished within touching distance of qualifying for Europe last season and closing that gap is the aim for the next campaign.
It has seen the likes of Jack Grealish enter the radar again following a loan spell last season, and he could be joined at Hill Dickinson by Jacob Murphy.

Everton are “desperate” to sign Jacob Murphy
As reported by Sky Sports’ Keith Downie, Everton are now “inclined” to sign Murphy alongside Grealish this summer. The Toffees are looking to secure two deals for two experienced midfielders, adding significant depth and quality to their forward squad.
Murphy has just 12 months left on his current deal and could be available for a cut-price fee as a result. Failing that, the winger will be available as a free agent this time next year.
Everton are yet to present a formal offer, but there is no doubt that Murphy is set to be watched.
Why Murphy is perfect for David Moyes
A player with a lot of Premier League experience who is known for his hard work rather than his brilliance? It doesn’t get much for David Moyes than that. Murphy and the Everton manager would be a match made in heaven.
If the Toffees finally want to get the best out of their top players, the 31-year-old will have plenty to offer. It wasn’t long before he was putting goals on the plate for Alexander Isak, before the Swede joined Liverpool and struggled.

Downie known as “brilliant”, Murphy was very good in the 24/25 season when he had a consistent striker to work with. If Everton give him that, he can regain that form alongside Grealish.
