Cristiano Ronaldo Gives Brutal Response To Lionel Messi And Storms Without Interview

Cristiano Ronaldo announced his arrival at the 2026 World Cup with two goals as Portugal kicked off their campaign with a 5-0 thrashing of Uzbekistan.
Ronaldo broke the World Cup record
Portugal and Ronaldo were heavily criticized after their 1-1 draw in their Group K opener against DR Congo, but they lived under the roof at Houston Stadium on Tuesday.
And the striker was seen facing his critics when he shouted “I’m back, I’m back” to the television camera after the final whistle.
Nuno Mendes and Rafael Leao were also on target, while Uzbekistan conceded an own goal in a convincing performance by Roberto Martinez’s side.
Much of the focus was on Ronaldo’s status at the club, but Martinez stuck with the 41-year-old and was rewarded for his determination.
Ronaldo was eager to get out of the competition after a good start in the competition by world stars such as Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe, Harry Kane and Erling Haaland.
He needed just six minutes to find the net, becoming the first player to score six World Cup away goals, while Mendes scored twice with a free-kick in the 17th minute.
Uzbekistan feared Ronaldo’s strike on the edge of the box, but the former Real Madrid man made a small move as he allowed Mendes to race home.
Uzbekistan, led by Italy’s 2006 World Cup-winning captain Fabio Cannavaro, thought they had pulled one back through Azizjon Ganiev just before the hour mark. A case of foul play against Cancelo was released during the formation of Abbasbek Fayzullaev.
Ronaldo compounded their frustration when he raced onto Fernandes’ well-weighted ball and finished coolly.
Portugal’s fourth came on the hour when a low ball entered the box one after the other and ended up in the net, Leao finished the shot when he hit the roof of the net when the clean rolled in his path.
Ronaldo answers Lionel Messi’s question
Ronaldo feels that playing is the “silver bullet” the team needed after all its recent criticism: “I am very happy but, for me, the most important thing is our work and the confidence we showed. The team did very well and improved a lot. As the saying goes, every cloud has a silver lining.
“Obviously individual records are always good but my goal is to help the team achieve their goals.”
However, he then walked out of his post-match interviews following a reporter’s question about Messi, but not before giving a straight answer.
“I didn’t care about the others… Mbappe also scored a goal.”
You can see the moment the 41-year-old answered the reporter below.
There was also a different incident when Ronaldo turned around and ignored the second Messi’s name was mentioned by another reporter.
Ronaldo currently has 975 goals in 1,324 games played for club and country and is determined to reach 1,000 before he even thinks about retirement.
