Posting on his official X account, Romano says Como is keen on Chalobah and appears to have overtaken Inter Milan in the race for his signature.

However, for now, Chalobah is at the 2026 World Cup with England, and it seems that he will not rush to make a decision about his future, according to Romano…

“Trevoh Chalobah could leave Chelsea this summer and Como will send the first bid for a full-back,” Romano said. “Understand Inter also looked at Chalobah among the full-back options. The English CB is focused on the World Cup but the UCL clubs are serious.”

Should Chelsea let Trevoh Chalobah leave this summer?

It is probably time for Chelsea and Chalobah to part ways, even if the 26-year-old has been a solid and loyal employee of the club.

With over 150 Chelsea appearances to his name, Chalobah has been a stalwart for the Blues in this difficult period of recording and changing managers and players.

However, it is also possible that CFC need to focus more on the defensive area, so Chalobah may think of this as a good time to move forward.

Como, owned by Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas, also looks like an attractive project at the moment, so it could be a good place for Chalobah to play regularly and contribute to the club’s development.

Chelsea to replace Trevoh Chalobah?

It is worth noting that Como’s bid for Chalobah comes as Chelsea appear to be working to sign central defenders.

Plans may have begun for the west London giants to replace Chalobah with Crystal Palace’s Maxence Lacroix or Como’s talented defender Jacobo Ramon.

Chelsea are said to be increasing their interest in Ramon, according to a previous TEAMtalk report, while see below the post from Ben Jacobs at X about their interest in Lacroix…
