Chelsea have offered Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic as contract requirements have been revealed

Chelsea have been offered the chance to sign a ‘prominent’ agent as they seek a marquee contract, according to reports.

Chelsea’s search for new players continues to attract a lot of attention as Xabi Alonso prepares for his first season at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues were linked with a number of attacking players during the summer transfer window, but one name that has remained firmly on the club’s radar is Morgan Rogers.

The Aston Villa star is a hot favorite with Chelsea’s recruitment team and reports have suggested the club have spent months building the groundwork for a possible move.

Rogers is seen as a player capable of adding goals, flair and flexibility to Alonso’s attack, and it is believed they have held talks with his camp over a move to Arsenal and Man United (Simon Phillips).

Chelsea have also explored other attacking additions as they look to strengthen the squad following a disappointing campaign.

According to TEAMtalk reporter Graeme Bailey, Chelsea have been approached about the possibility of signing Dušan Vlahović, with the Serbian striker available on a free transfer this summer as things stand.

The 26-year-old made his name at Fiorentina before his big-money move to Juventus, and has established himself as a regular Serie A goalscorer despite mixed fortunes in Turin.

His discovery has naturally attracted interest across the continent.

Chelsea are understood to be among the few Premier League clubs to have been informed of the situation.

Bailey’s report suggests that the mediators have been voicing their potential destinations as they try to find the striker’s next club, with Chelsea being one of them.

One of the most important details concerns Vlahovic’s expected salary.

According to TEAMtalk, the Serbian international wants a deal worth £150,000 a week.

For a player of his experience and pedigree, that figure is not considered exorbitant by Premier League standards, but the biggest problem seems to be the extensive financial package attached to any move.

Signing fees and agent fees are among the things clubs must consider before making an official move, and that is especially important for Chelsea.

While the club is still willing to invest heavily in top talent, it has spent the last few years running a tight salary structure.

Newcastle and Tottenham are also reported to be interested, while Besiktas are reportedly pushing hard and are willing to meet the player’s wage demands with a lucrative contract.

That means Chelsea will need to decide quickly whether they want to develop their interest in the ‘prominent’ free agent.
