Chelsea are eyeing five signings including the likes of Cesc Fabregas

Chelsea defender Reece James says talking about his injury problems is “boring now” but the Blues are still working to improve their defensive depth this summer.
Reece James slams injury critics
James’ career has been plagued by injuries, which left him devastated when he was ruled out of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, a disappointment compounded by England’s miss out on the Euro 2024 final.
Another injury with Chelsea disrupted the second half of his season before returning for the final few games and securing a seat on the plane to North America.
James says that the issue of his injury is getting smaller.
“People always talk about injuries and recovery, and to me it’s boring now.” James told BBC 5 Live.
“I have one job, which is to be better when I’m on the field. To be honest, I understand being ostracized at first, but after a while I get bored.
“I’ve been fit for a long time before my last injury, and I don’t feel a lot of noise.
“I just focus on myself, my body, I try to do everything I can and help the team I play for.”
James is Thomas Tuchel’s first-choice right-back and says he is “communicating very well” with the manager as the pair aim to win another major trophy together.
The 26-year-old starred under Tuchel at Chelsea as the club won the Champions League and feels trusted by his manager.
“We worked together before at Chelsea, we won trophies together, and I love playing under him,” he told talkSPORT. “Since he is a person, as a manager, it just connects well with him, I like his management side and his personal side.
“If you look at the top managers, there are wonderful managers who focus only on football, then there are very good managers and not so good managers.

“I have been in a few dressing rooms when he came out with nice speeches, during halftime, before the game, after the game.
“We all want the same thing, we all fight for the same goal, and it comes from his passion to win.”
Chelsea are still planning to improve their defense this summer and provide more depth to support their captain, and Fabrizio Romano shared an update on their efforts this week.
Chelsea transfer updates: Palestra, Ramon
The journalist confirmed on their social media accounts on Wednesday that Atalanta defender Marco Palestra is set to move to Stamford Bridge this summer in a deal worth €55m (£47m).
A verbal agreement ‘is in place between all parties’ and the Blues have effectively snubbed Inter Milan’s interest in the 21-year-old.
They don’t stop there though, as Romano revealed in his latest YouTube video that they also want to change their ranks of defenders, Jacobo Ramon is just one of the five targets for that position, with news to come of other targets in the coming days.
“Jacobo Ramon, the Spanish defender, informs, not only his name.
“Chelsea have four or five names in the backlist, I will tell you more in the coming days.”
Ramon, a former Real Madrid youth player, stands at 6 foot 5, and was impressive for Cesc Fabregas’ FC Como last season as they booked a place in the Champions League.

Prime Minister Cole Palmer: Chelsea in talks to sign £100m England star
Another Cole Palmer could be on his way to join Chelsea this summer.
He started 30 times in Serie A, revealing his improvement to the former Chelsea midfielder, saying their connection was ‘perfect’.
Whether he ends up in his master’s old phase may depend on other objectives that will come up in the coming days.
