- Morocco’s fourth place in 2022 marked the highest finish by an African country in World Cup history. They kept four clean sheets, more than their previous 16 matches at the tournament (three).
- Morocco was the only team qualified by CAF to win all the qualifying matches for the 2020 World Cup, finishing with eight victories in eight matches.
- Mohamed Ouahbi will coach Morocco at the 2026 World Cup, replacing Walid Regragui; He led the U20 team to the 2025 World Cup, beating Argentina 2-0 in the final in Santiago, Chile.
