Arsenal are close to agreeing a move to sign a bigger talent than Bouaddi

Going into the World Cup there was concern that it might disrupt the transfer business but Arsenal, so far, have reaffirmed their feelings about one player; Ayyoub Bouaddi.
The Gunners reportedly made a bid for the player a few weeks ago, but interest is now set to increase for the Moroccan star who has already made his mark in North America.
Bouaddi is one of a number of World Cup players being pursued by the Gunners, including England’s Morgan Rogers and Argentina’s Nico Paz.
Rogers seems to be getting a lot of attention, but they will not stop at him in their effort to improve the team that wins the title. So, what’s the latest from Emirates?
Arsenal are close to signing a young talent
A few hours after Bouaddi appeared for Morocco against Brazil, reports emerged that Arsenal have been in talks to sign the player for several months now.
Andrea Berta has been on the file for some time and now talks are ongoing to bring the Lille star to English football. The midfielder was thought to be worth around £60m before the World Cup started but that could now rise if he continues to impress for the Atlas Lions.
Besides Rogers, it looks like Berta and Co are chasing a bunch of young talent. Como’s Paz is another youngster coming out of the drawer who may be heading to Arsenal but Real Madrid are in the picture so don’t expect it to be easy.
Jeremy Monga’s name continues to do the rounds again. Recent reports have revealed that the north Londoners have already agreed personal terms with the player and that he is set to close.
Monga was kicked out of the Championship with Leicester last season and many teams saw this as an opportunity to pounce on the 16-year-old. Many parties have shown interest but it is Arsenal who are expected to win this race.
This is according to talkSPORT’s Alex Crook. Speaking in a YouTube video at the weekend, he said: “He will go to Leicester. I was told a few weeks ago that up to ten clubs from the Premier League and other countries are showing interest. It looks like Arsenal will win this particular race. They are very close now to agreeing with Leicester for a fee that will be around the £10m mark.”
Why is Monga more powerful than Bouaddi
Bouaddi’s game against Brazil on Friday night was a great game. When he was only 18 years old, he entered the field and looked like the best player on the park.
It may have been Vinicius Junior who won the official award for the best player in the game but in reality, it was the youth who deserved it because of his good play.
He completed 91% of his passes, registered three dribbles and collected five defensive tackles. Under the Moroccan midfielder, he looked to be worth every bit of that £60m asking price.

Clearly one of the best young players in world football at the moment, Arsenal could sign a talent of Monga’s caliber.
Sure, he may not be in the World Cup yet, but, at the age of 16, it wouldn’t be surprising if he was in the England team in four years.
A winger by trade, Monga made his Premier League debut at the age of 15. Only two players have made their Premier League bows at a young age; Ethan Nwaneri and Max Dowman. He has a special talent and in context, Bouaddi didn’t make his first professional appearance for Lille until he was 16 years old.
They are obviously production talents but if you look at Monga as a forward player, you have to say that he is very entertaining. Everyone loves to sign a new attacking player, right?
The young England international only scored once and assisted two goals for the Foxes last season but the fact that he has played 37 games at the highest level for his age is impressive.
Like Bouaddi, Monga has this fearlessness about him. He doesn’t care who he plays with or against. He is always brave, he always tries to make things happen and his first thought, like a Moroccan, is how to take the ball forward.
Hailed not only as “one of England’s biggest talents” but also as “England’s Ousmane Dembele” by Como scout Ben Mattinson, this player has been attracting attention for many years.
In the words of Leicester reporter Josh Holland, “Monga plays football like he is playing on the street” and is “an amazing ball handler.”
Just watching clips of the young winger, you get a Jeremy Doku-like vibe from him. His close touch control is impressive, the way he uses the ball to get past players is amazing.
The young English talent is two years older than Bouaddi but in a few years, he expects him to be on par or even surpass the Moroccan talent. He is well on his way to doing that.
