Everton plans Tyrique George deal with Chelsea talks ongoing

Everton’s summer transfer plans are starting to take shape as David Moyes looks to build on the progress made in his first full season back at the club.
The Blues have been linked with a number of players this past week as recruitment continues ahead of another crucial campaign at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
One name that refuses to go is Hayden Hackney.
Reports have suggested that Everton remain interested in the Middlesbrough midfielder, with Moyes believed to be particularly fond of the 24-year-old’s energy, passing and ability to command play in deep areas.
Sky Sports have reported that Boro have reversed Everton’s first ever approach to Hackney, the two sides are currently a long way from the tie, but it is a situation that remains to be seen.

Elsewhere, Sporting CP captain Morten Hjulmand has also been credited with luring Everton.
The Denmark international would represent a more experienced option and is the type of leader Moyes has favored throughout his managerial career.
Meanwhile, speculation over Jack Grealish’s long-term future has continued following his loan move to Merseyside.

There are still questions over whether Everton can put together a package to keep the England international permanently, but his name continues to crop up in transfer talks around the club.
The club’s recruitment team appear to be keen to give Moyes greater depth in a number of positions rather than focusing on one marquee signing.
Now, another familiar face has emerged as a major talking point for the transfer.
Everton are in talks with Chelsea to re-sign Tyrique George
According to TEAMtalk transfer reporter Graeme Bailey, Everton are in ‘ongoing’ talks with Chelsea over a deal to bring Tyrique George back to Merseyside following his loan spell last season.
The 20-year-old has reportedly impressed the club’s staff with his attitude and efficiency during his time under Moyes.
While George may not have been a guaranteed starter every week, he showed enough potential to convince Everton that he was a player worth investing in for the future.
However, the situation is not as specific as triggering the call option included in the original January agreement.
The clause is believed to be worth £22 million and Everton are now looking at ways to reduce the total cost of the transfer permanently, according to TEAMtalk.
Talks with Chelsea are understood to be ongoing as the Blues try to find a structure that works financially for all parties.
That approach makes sense given Everton’s extensive transfer plans.
Moyes is looking to strengthen several areas of his squad this summer and saving money on one deal could help create room for more signings elsewhere.
Instead of committing a full amount immediately, Everton appear willing to negotiate terms that will allow them flexibility throughout the window.
George himself is still highly regarded, after making their 11th appearance last quarter.
Still only 20, the Chelsea academy graduate has plenty of time to develop and Everton clearly believe something is wrong if he continues to improve.
His pace, direct running and willingness to work for the team made a positive impression throughout his spell at the club.
Whether Chelsea agree to Everton’s revised offer remains to be seen.
