2051 US Open venues confirmed: Complete list

As we have seen many times in places like Shinnecock Hills, Pebble Beach and Pinehurst No. 2, the right course is the foundation of what makes the US Open a great tournament. After all, the world’s best players aren’t just competing against each other—they’re also battling against some of golf’s most iconic and demanding properties.

Recognizing the importance of these historic sites, the USGA has already mapped out much of the US Open schedule through 2051, relying on the rotation of championship-tested courses that have helped define the tournament’s legacy.

Courses for future US Open host

Built on the rugged Pacific coast, Pebble Beach Golf Links is one of the game’s finest and will host the US Open again in 2027, 2032, 2037, and 2044.

Pinehurst No

Following its successful 2024 championship, Pinehurst No. 2 returns in 2029, 2035, 2041, and 2047, continuing its role as one of the USGA’s main anchor venues.

Merion Golf Club

After hosting the past five US Opens, including Ben Hogan’s iconic 1950 playoff victory, Merion Golf Club will host the tournament three more times in the next 25 years—2030, 2040, and 2050—with the 2030 event marking the 100th anniversary of Bob Jones completing his 3rd US Grand Slam with his 19th US Open.

Riviera Country Club

After hosting various tournaments—including the 1948 US Open, the 1983 and 1995 PGA Championships, the 1998 US Senior Open, the 2017 US Amateur, and the 2026 US Women’s Open—the USGA returns to Riviera Country Club for the 2031 US Open.

Oakmont Country Club

Outside of Pittsburgh’s Steel City, this time-honored golf hall of fame is known for producing some of the most thrilling games, a reputation that will continue as the USGA returns in 2033, 2042, and 2049, continuing to extend its legacy as the most frequent host in tournament history.

Oakland Hills Country Club

After a major restoration in 2021, this Donald Ross design located outside of Detroit returns to the US Open circuit in 2034 and again in 2051.

Famous for delivering some of the toughest tests in US Open history, Winged Foot Golf Club will host the tournament in 2028.

Shinnecock Hills Golf Club

Known for its windswept, links-style structure, Shinnecock Hills Golf Club is one of the oldest—and most demanding—golf clubs. The US Open is scheduled to return to the iconic Long Island course in 2036.

The Country Club

The storied Brookline course cemented its place in golf history when it hosted the unforgettable 1913 US Open. After a celebrated return in 2022, the Massachusetts masterpiece will add another chapter to its storied legacy when the national championship returns in 2038.

Los Angeles Country Club

After the first success of the US Open in 2023, the Los Angeles Country Club will host the championship again in 2039.

Inverness Club

Steeped in history dating back to 1916, this prestigious venue has been crowned champions including Ted Ray, Billy Burke, Dick Mayer, and Hale Irwin. The USGA will return to the Inverness Club in 2027 for the US Women’s Open and 2029 for the US Amateur, before returning the US Open in 2045.
