How to watch the US Open on Friday
The sport’s best players and golf fans alike are in for a long day Friday at Shinnecock Hills. The first round of the US Open was marred by early fog delays. This two-hour delay resulted in many players failing to finish their rounds before dark on Thursday night.
The first order of business on Friday is the restart of round 1, which will take place at 6:35 am ET, weather permitting. The second round will begin at 6:50 am ET, 15 minutes later than originally scheduled.
When the game starts on Friday, Wyndham Clark will be leading. The 2023 US Open champion was the only player to drop further on Thursday, reaching six under before the match was called. He needs to finish two more holes to complete Round 1 and extend his lead to four shots.
Rory McIlroy was one of the players who finished Round 1 on Thursday. He shot a one-under 69 and will begin Round 2 on Friday at 2:02 pm ET.
You can watch the second round of the US Open on TV via NBC and NBCSN, with NBCSN opening coverage at 6:30 a.m. ET on Friday. Round 2 TV coverage will switch to NBC at 1:30 pm ET, with simultaneous live coverage of both telecasts available on Peacock. Peacock, USOpen.com and the USGA app will provide live coverage of the team beginning Friday morning at 7:29 a.m. ET.

NBC and NBCSN will provide TV coverage of the second round of the 2026 US Open. NBCSN opens coverage from 6:30 am-1:30 pm ET on Friday, followed by NBC coverage from 1:30-7:30 pm ET.

You can stream the second round of the 2026 US Open by using Peacock, USOpen.com and the USGA appall of which will provide live coverage of the team beginning at 7:29 a.m. ET on Friday. Peacock will also provide live coverage of NBCSN and NBC from 6:30 am-7:30 pm ET.
