Arsenal’s main target on the left side of attack this summer remains Julian Alvarez, but the Atlético Madrid striker has made it clear in his interviews that he sees himself as a central midfielder rather than a wide player – which limits how easy that deal can be.
That has forced Arteta’s side to look elsewhere, and Gordon fits the profile closely.
Gordon was apparently a top target in the summer of 2024 and the interest never completely died down.
Liverpool have also been long-term suitors, meaning any deal would need to move quickly, but Arsenal are the most attractive landing spot for Gordon.
