Alisson, who previously played in Serie A with Roma before moving to Anfield in 2018, is open to a move.

Although he is currently out of action due to a hamstring injury, his reputation as one of the world’s best goalkeepers remains untarnished, leading Juventus to prepare to pounce on his services.

Romano: Alisson Becker is determined to return but will respect Liverpool

Despite the lure of returning to Italy, Alisson is not looking to force an exit. Fabrizio Romano has commented to X that while the 33-year-old likes the idea of a move, he has “great respect” for Liverpool and will explore his future with the club.

“Juventus want to sign a top GK this summer and Alisson is considered a target. Liverpool extended his contract until 2027 but talks with Alisson’s camp and Mamardasvhili will take place in the coming weeks. Alisson likes the idea of returning to Italy but respects #LFC and wants to explore his future with the club.”

Liverpool recently signed a one-year extension to Alisson’s contract, tying him to the club until June 2027.

This ensures that the Reds retain strong bargaining power if they decide to sell.

However, previous reports suggest that Alisson has already agreed personal terms with Juventus, leaving the ball in the Liverpool manager’s court.

Liverpool should not sell Alisson

Selling the Brazilian would be seen as a huge risk for Liverpool.

Alisson has been a huge part of Liverpool’s success over the years, playing a key role in the club winning several trophies including two Premier Leagues and the Champions League.

Not only is he a world class shot stopper but he is arguably the best 1-v-1 goalkeeper in world football.

And without the presence of Giorgi Mamadashvili, Liverpool look very strong at the back with Alisson Becker in goal.

In addition, it will be even more difficult to take the leadership position and experience that he brings to the team.

With Mohamed Salah set to leave the club at the end of the season and Andy Robertson, who will also leave as a free agent in the summer, the Reds will have lost two big men in the dressing room.

Which is all the more reason to stay with the Brazilian for at least a few more years.
