ENIC is now willing to sell the Spurs star to Man City if he does not sign a new contract

Even the safety of the Premier League may not be enough to hold back some star players, and ENIC have now given one Tottenham Hotspur player a last-ditch deal.
Most Spurs fans will be relieved to be a Premier League club. Until the arrival of Roberto De Zerbi, it was too close for them to find comfort. Therefore, the Italian deserves a lot of credit for the way he strengthened a broken team and dragged them to safety on the last day.
Tottenham are entering the race to sign Manchester United for just £10m
Spurs are determined to sign an “unbelievable” player.
While relief is a great feeling, however, there should also be a sense of urgency that another season’s flirtation with relegation could lead to an unwanted date in the Championship. That’s why this summer is one of the most important in Tottenham’s history.
With that said, it looks like a few more arrivals may be on their way. With the Lilywhites’ top flight status intact, Andy Robertson is on the move after bidding an emotional farewell to Liverpool at the end of the season.
Well, income isn’t the only thing the club has to worry about. Premier League spot or not, they still have to convince some of their biggest stars to stay.
According to AS of Spain, ENIC want Pedro Porro to sign a new contract or they will receive money from Man City’s interest this summer. It’s all or nothing for the right-back with regards to Spurs after City made contact with them with an interest in signing him.
The Lilywhites did just that. They have offered the Spaniard a new deal, with his current deal set to expire in 2028. However, that was enough to entice him to leave Man City.
Tottenham should not stand in Porro’s way
It may sound controversial but, when push comes to shove, Tottenham should let Porro go. In terms of quality, the right-back is up there with his best players, but that quality won’t show if he’s not happy and that’s the last thing De Zerbi needs.
Lilywhites need a major rebuild and that can’t be done with loose parts. By investing in Porro, they can invest in players who want to take the club forward and those who will buy into De Zerbi’s style. Success can come from there.
All that is needed is to look at the current squad to see the morale problems. Captain Cristian Romero almost missed the last day of the season after visiting his old club in Argentina. That just about sums things up. De Zerbi must reset from top to bottom and if that means letting players go, so be it.
