It’s One Bazzana, Travis. What would it cost?

Yankees BY Jason Dominguez hit .326/.415/.478 with three home runs and eight stolen bases in 24 Triple-A games when the Bombers called him up to replace the injured Giancarlo Stanton. This marks Dominguez’s fourth straight season with the big league club, and he’s only 23 years old. His strikeout rate dropped to 15.1 percent and his walk rate to 12.3 percent. Maybe it won’t happen for Martian, but this sounds like a good chance for him to break out.

Yankees RHP Elmer Rodriguez (22) will make his league debut today against Rangers and could continue if he scores well. Luis Gil doesn’t look good, and Carlos Rodon is in the rehab program. Rodriguez posted a 2.58 ERA in 150 innings spread across three levels last season and has a 1.27 ERA through 21.1 innings in Triple-A this year. He commands a five-pitch mix across the strike zone and looks as primed for early success as most Yankee pitchers.

Guards 2B Travis Bazzana made his Cleveland debut on Tuesday and drew two walks, one of which was intentional. That couldn’t be more common: a deliberate walk in a boy’s first game. Still, since they’ve bumped Brito back up the minor league chart and broken the page on Bazzana, it should be a smooth ride from here in terms of playing time. I think he could struggle his way back to Triple-A, but I’d give that a shot. It’s going to be an expensive week for faab people.

In his last 13 games, Mariners OF Brennen Davis (26, AAA) is slashing .333/.439/.689 with four home runs, eight strikeouts and eight walks. He’s a good example of why I don’t like calling guys 4A players. Not a big label guy in general. So I’m awake, I know. So I canceled for not giving me an Emmy a la Bill Maher, that millionaire who got canceled the most. Back in the world of real adversity, Brennen Davis has dealt with injuries in his baseball journey, but he might have made his name known in unusual circles a long time ago. He is not unusual in the sense that some unexpected obstacle led to his rise to the top of the baseball world and brought him face to face with the kind of near-death experience that we all face one day. There is an advantage to facing this opponent early, and I think Davis is about to reap that reward.

A fourth-round pick out of Bucknell in 2024, Blue Jays 3B Sean Keys (22, AA) struggled to get consistent contact against High-A in 2025, slashing .217/.365/.408 with 19 home runs and eight stolen bases. The line shows that patience and strength are still in play despite swings and misses. Keys has looked like a complete hitter throughout his baseball career, consistently getting shortstops in wooden bat leagues against stronger arms than Bucknell sees on a weekly basis, and that’s the summer league version of Keys making music in 2026. He’s hitting nine home runs in just 18 games, hitting .394/7 with a .3933/7 slugging percentage. the time. The 6’1″ 232-pound left-hander may not be eye-catching but he fits the profile of the type of player Toronto has successfully identified and developed.

White Sox 2B Caleb Bonemer (20, A+) hit three home runs Tuesday night: his eighth, ninth and 10th of the season. That’s right. I might have to stay here for a minute. No, no, I’m fine. Go on without me. I just have to get this Caleb under my belt asap. Bonemer is hitting .292/.406/.772 despite hitting 28.1 percent of the time, up from the 21.2 percent he hit in 107 games last season. He also hit 12 runs in those 107 games and has 10 in 21 games this year, so that’s a trade I’d be happy to make if I were running for the White Sox.

The Courage of Eric Hartman (19, A+) is enjoying a similar outing, smashing eight home runs in 20 games with a 27 percent strikeout rate. The 611 pick in the 2024 draft, he is hitting .300/.371/.675 with eight steals alongside those eight bombs. Some people actually broke into a bank to find him. I don’t have him in any leagues. Get up guys; I’m going home.
