Bayern break Bundesliga goalscoring record as Dortmund slip away

Bayern wrote another page in the history books.
Bayern Munich made history in the Bundesliga as they took another big step towards the top with a huge 5-0 victory in St. Paul.
Jamal Musiala’s header in the ninth minute saw Bayern equal the record number of goals scored in a Bundesliga season, set by their 1971-72 team, with 101 of the season.
A record-breaking 102nd goal did not come until the 53rd minute, Leon Goretzka curling home a long-range volley after Joshua Kimmich’s free-kick was deflected into his path.
Michael Olise fired home from the edge of the area a minute later, before Nicholas Jackson and Raphael Guerreiro added gloss to the scoreline in a dominant display.
Bayern are 12 points behind Dortmund with five games to play after their nearest rivals lost 1-0 at home to Bayer Leverkusen.
Robert Andrich was the difference-maker for Leverkusen, scoring a corner from the left in the 42nd minute at Signal Iduna Park. The victory leaves Leverkusen just a point outside the top four.
RB Leipzig extended their hold on a Champions League spot with a 1-0 win over Borussia Monchengladbach. On the other hand, second-placed Wolfsburg lost 2-1 to Eintracht Frankfurt, but bottom team Heidenheim are six points clear of St. Pauli beat Union Berlin 3-1 in the playoffs.
Atletico fall to the ground
After a 2-0 win at Barcelona in the first leg of their Champions League quarterfinal in midweek, Atletico Madrid fell to the ground again with a bump in Sevilla.
Akor Adams’ 10th-minute penalty gave Sevilla a goal, although that was canceled out by Javier Bonar’s leveler 25 minutes later.
But Nemanja Gudelj headed home a corner in the first half to restore Sevilla’s advantage, which they successfully defended to move three points out of the bottom three. Atletico remain safely within the Champions League qualification places.
Barcelona are nine points clear at the top of LaLiga after beating Espanyol 4-1.
Elche moved out of the bottom three with a 1-0 win over Valencia, while Alaves drew 3-3 at Real Sociedad to help their survival bid, Lucas Boye scoring in the 97th minute after Sergio Gomez had been sent off by the home side.
Udinese dent Milan’s title bid
AC Milan’s hopes of winning the Scudetto suffered a major blow as they were beaten 3-0 by Udinese at the San Siro.
Udinese took the lead in the 27th minute when David Bartesaghi inadvertently diverted Arthur Atta’s ball into his own net.
Ten minutes later, Jurgen Ekkelenkamp headed in Nicolo Zaniolo’s cross to make it 2-0, and Atta made the points safe with a cool finish 19 minutes from the end of normal time.
Milan are nine points behind leaders Inter Milan, who visit Como on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Juventus boosted their Champions League hopes and moved three points behind third-placed Milan with a 1-0 win at Atalanta. Jeremie Boga’s goal in the 48th minute was the difference for Bergamo.
Elsewhere, Torino beat second-bottom Verona 3-1, while Cagliari beat struggling Cremonese 1-0.
In Ligue 1, Rennes moved level on points with fourth-placed Lille with a 2-1 win at Angers.
