Aston Villa are keen to sign Harry Wilson, a big fan of Unai Emery
Aston Villa have now entered the race for the “unique” striker, and manager Unai Emery is a big fan.
Villa is determined to sign another striker after Mbaye
Ahead of the transfer window officially opening in less than a week, Villa have been ramping up their pursuit of a new striker, with Paris Saint-Germain winger Ibrahim Mbaye in line to become their first signing of the summer.
The Villans are very close to getting Mbaye’s deal over the line, following the 18-year-old’s impressive campaign in Ligue 1, scoring three goals and two assists in 24 Ligue 1 appearances, earning him a call-up to Senegal’s World Cup squad.
Emery isn’t settled there, and with speculation about Morgan Rogers’ future still rife, NSWE are keen to sign another striker, having recently submitted a bid for Como star Martin Baturina.
The Serie A side are not interested in parting with Baturina, and are expected to hold on to £69m, meaning they would be better off signing a cheaper alternative, especially if there are financial problems at Villa Park.

Villa enter the pecking order in the race for a free agent forward
According to a report from TEAMtalk, Aston Villa are now strong favorites to secure the signature of Harry Wilson, who will leave Fulham when his £55,000-a-week contract expires this summer.
Villa are ahead of Premier League rivals Leeds United and Everton in the race for Wilson, with the Cottagers keen to keep him, with Emery personally keen, and the Spaniard has now given the move the green light.
Former Wales international Kit Symons is also a big fan of his team-mate, saying last season: “This season he has come into his own. It’s a season he’s been afraid to have for a long time. He was also outstanding in Wales and had a brilliant season. I’m happy for him.”
The Welshman has certainly earned a lot of praise, reaching a Premier League goalscoring double, while also making the most assists for Fulham.

In Villa’s squad, only Ollie Watkins found the net more times than Wilson in the Premier League last season, and with his availability on a free transfer, the 29-year-old would be a great addition to Emery’s squad.
