Arsenal have already agreed to sign their version of Morgan Rogers

Arsenal come into this transfer window with a lot of expectations.
The pressure may be off after winning the first Premier League title in 22 years but thanks to that victory, it gives them a great opportunity to attract the best talent in Europe.
It is possible that the Gunners will start moving forward when Bournemouth young star Eli Junior Kroupi is a target for Mikel Arteta and Co. That said, boasting a valuation of £80m to £100m, the Cherries are clearly no longer in a position to sell.
Julian Alvarez could also be on the menu but equally his price tag at Atletico Madrid is simply astronomical.
There is a feeling that the former Manchester City striker will be the most game-changing addition this summer but lest we forget, Morgan Rogers is the first victim too.
The latest in Arsenal’s pursuit of Morgan Rogers
One of Arteta’s key strategies in the transfer market since becoming Arsenal manager has been to sign players from Premier League clubs.
The likes of David Raya and Declan Rice have been transformed after arriving from Brentford and West Ham United respectively.
For Rogers, the Gunners will hope to repeat that success. Fabrizio Romano revealed earlier this week that Arsenal had held talks with the player’s camp.
Club-to-club talks are still ongoing but it is widely thought he could cost more than £80m to prize him away from Villa Park this summer.
What would Rogers bring? However, what is important is to know how the Premier League ticks most of the boxes for Arteta’s side, as well as his availability.
The 23-year-old has missed just two league games since the start of 2024/25 and one of those games was due to a suspension for picking up too many yellow cards.

Importantly, however, he is a dynamic young player. Whether it’s on the left or in the center as a no.10, Rogers is different.
He has scored 14 goals in back-to-back seasons for the Villans and has assisted them in equal measure. He registered 16 assists in 2024/25 before picking up a further 12 in 2025/26.
Incredibly canny and aggressive with his actions in the final third, this could be a great signing for the Gunners.
That said, what if Arsenal have already signed their own version?

A lot of talk these days revolves around Jeremy Monga of Leicester City.
He is only 27 years old, and it is reported that the Gunners are close to signing him. It continues with strong youth recruitment at Arsenal who have done an excellent job of securing the world’s best talent.
Alongside Monga, Andrea Berta and Co have already wrapped up a deal to sign another young duo. They go by the name of Edwin Quintero and Holger Quintero.
Both are just 16 years old, currently playing for Ecuador’s Independiente del Valle and have agreed a pre-contract to join Arsenal in the final stages of 2025.
If you don’t know the reputation of that great team in South America, the first thing you need to know is that their youth system is one of the best in the world.
It is a production line that has produced William Pacho for PSG, Moises Caicedo and Kendry Paez for Chelsea, and Piero Hincapie for Arsenal.
They have a number of other players heading to European shores with central defender Deinner Ordonez having agreed a move to Chelsea. Arsenal struck again and in the form of the Quintero twins, they may have snapped up two of the best young players in the world.
Edwin is probably the most interesting. Scout Jacek Kulig has included him among the best youngsters in the world at the beginning of 2025. That list also included some great Dowman; you are special like that.
A right winger by trade, his brother is an attacking midfielder and bears a striking resemblance to Rogers.
Described as a gifted, right-footed midfielder, much like Rogers, Holger Quintero boasts a series of very impressive qualities.
Como scout Ben Mattinson describes him as “a decisive creator with a lethal last ball” while the aforementioned Kulig praises him as “a great technical prospect with close control and brilliance.”
What also sets Holger apart from his peers is the incredible level of smoothness that makes him truly tricky to stop in a one v one situation.
Clips of the player online show how clever he is in driving the ball forward into the middle areas. Coincidentally, that is one of Rogers’ best attributes and the main reason why Arsenal want to sign him; he can provide a serious threat in the direct and aggressive style that Martin Odegaard lacks.
Rogers may be talking too much this time but for Holger Quintero, they may have found their own version. His potential is huge and this is a pre-agreed signing, which is going under the radar among fans.
That said, we’ll have to wait to see him in action. The twins have visited the Emirates and training base at London Colney but cannot officially join them until they are 18. As a result, they will be Arsenal players in the summer of 2027.
