The in-demand midfielder is choosing between Aston Villa and Newcastle transfers

Aston Villa and Newcastle United are set to do battle in the summer transfer window, as both targets prepare to give the other a major boost.
Aston Villa and Newcastle are preparing offers for the midfielder
It has become inevitable that Aston Villa and Newcastle will go head-to-head in the summer transfer window. Both sides are very similar. Both have battled PSR restrictions in recent years and both have almost traded the right to qualify for the Champions League every year.
This season, it was Villa’s turn to take the glory. Despite their limitations, Unai Emery’s side won the Europa League and secured top spot, earning a return to Europe’s top competition as a result.
Aston Villa are ready to pay a huge fee to sign their new signing Morgan Rogers
Aston Villa are riding the wave, but they will soon have to deal with the departure of Morgan Rogers.
Newcastle, meanwhile, were forced to settle for a disappointing season and finished in 12th place. If anyone needs strengthening this summer, it’s the Magpies.
Whether that comes in the form of the Ligue 1 star remains to be seen, however. According to Media Foot, as reported by Sports Witness, Lamine Camara is now opting to join Aston Villa over Newcastle, despite rumors that the Tyneside club have already held meetings with his representatives.
The star midfielder won’t come cheap, though. Reports claim that PIF and NSWE are both ‘ready’ to submit major offers in the region of AS Monaco’s €50m (£43m) asking price, sparking an early bidding war.
As for Camara, he will be playing under Emery next season instead of St James’ Park. It’s a big mistake for the Magpies, but things can change if Villa can’t meet Monaco’s demands.
“Good” Camara is good for Youri Tielemans
It would be a sign of Aston Villa’s intent if they were able to sign a player of Camara’s caliber. The 22-year-old is one of the best young midfielders and his ability could help provide the perfect partner for Youri Tielemans.

Jacek Kulig described Camara as “good” back in November, and it’s hard to argue with the talent scout’s decision. The Senegalese has been excellent for Monaco over the past 12 months and could have masked Tielemans’ biggest weakness by not playing.
While the Villa man struggles to recover, Camara thrives and doesn’t do so by sacrificing technical ability. In fact, the 22-year-old has even enjoyed better passing accuracy and made more passes per game than Tielemans this season. He is the complete package and not one Emery will want to miss out on.
