Everton are considering a major move to sign Serie A star Cesare Casadei

Everton are looking to kick off their transfer window in style this summer, eyeing an impressive youngster who is on the radar of several European clubs.
Everton are racing to sign a wanted midfielder
The Toffees have something to build on in the coming months. David Moyes will focus on qualifying for European football next season after finishing just a few points out of the top eight this season. While many are still disappointed to have missed out, the talent in this side is there for all to see.
David Moyes thinks the former Man United player is “right” for Everton as talks are expected
The Scotsman believes he can solve Everton’s biggest problem.
The Friedkin Group wasn’t afraid to back its man, either. They spent big on the likes of Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Tyler Dibling and Thierno Barry last summer and while they haven’t all materialised, the intention has been there. Now, one year later, Everton’s owners may be spending money again.
To that end, names like Hayden Hackney have threatened to steal the headlines. After failing to gain promotion at Middlesbrough, the midfielder could end up on his way to the Premier League, with the Toffees emerging as front-runners.
That said, Hackney isn’t the only midfielder shortlisted on Merseyside. According to SportsBoom, Everton are considering a serious move to sign Cesare Casadei this summer.
The Torino star is one of the most sought-after players in Europe. Brighton, Feyenoord, PSV Eindhoven, AS Monaco and Sporting CP are all chasing his signature, but it is Everton who are preparing the most visible move.
Torino will not be surprised by the amount of interest in their star. The former Chelsea man has been superb in Italy and already has a route back to the Premier League as a result.
“Powerful” Casadei can replace Idrissa Gueye
Hackney, Casadei, Dewsbury-Hall, James Garner. Quite the middle ground, isn’t it? If anything highlights Everton’s intentions, it’s their intentions at the heart of Moyes’ team.
All four players are top quality and Casadei’s arrival will provide Everton with a perfect replacement for the aging Idrissa Gueye. The 36-year-old has been as reliable as ever in his second spell at the club, but there is no denying that the end of his career is nearing.
That opens the door for Casadei and at a low price to match. Reports claim that Torino will want just €30m (£26m) to sell the 23-year-old this summer.

Called “strong” by talent scout Jacek Kulig, Casadei is a complete midfielder. He enjoys acting as a box-crasher, while showing defensive prowess. At 6’4 plus, the Italian’s height is an asset in itself. He is someone Everton will not want to miss out on.
