Man Utd said they can sign the world star at a new price; The club wants him to leave

Manchester United have entered the race to sign Rafael Leao from AC Milan this summer, with the Italian giants ready to show their interest at the door.
Man United are planning to move the world star
Life is good for the Red Devils right now. Champions League football has long been secured and they are set to finish the Premier League campaign in third place – one season after they finished in 15th place. Michael Carrick’s interim tenure has resulted in so much improvement, that he has been given the permanent job.
The focus for INEOS is now on the transfer window. Their recruitment was successful this time last year, Bryan Mbeumo, Senne Lammens, Matheus Cunha and Benjamin Sesko all did their job. Now, one year on, it looks like another breakout star is on his radar.
Own Anderson: Man Utd confident of first Carrick signing ASAP
Manchester United are closing in on the signing of potential star player Elliot Anderson.
According to Italy’s Gazzetta dello Sport, Man United have been told they could sign Leao for €50m (£43m) this summer. This comes just years after AC Milan demanded an estimated £86m to sell their winger, who was recently identified as a “global star” by GQ.
Since then, Leao has gone from a fan favorite to a centerpiece of Milan’s frustrations. It has now reached the point that he is expected to leave this summer, with Man United in a good position to secure his signature ahead of Fenerbahçe.
Milan’s trash can quickly become Old Trafford’s treasure this summer. Leao, who is only 26 years old, is still full of potential. Even in a difficult season on a personal level, the Portuguese has managed 10 goals in all competitions.
Meanwhile, at his best, this player was involved in 25 goals last season and 29 in the previous campaign. For just £43m, he would be worth every penny at Man United.
Wilcox: Carrick “has fully benefited” from Man Utd job
Saving themselves from a summer full of searching for their next manager and supporting the man who turned their season around, Man United have officially announced the appointment of Carrick on a permanent basis.
The new manager told the club’s website when the news was announced: “Since I arrived here 20 years ago, I felt the magic of Manchester United.
“Taking the responsibility of leading our special football club makes me very proud. Throughout the last five months, this group of players has shown that they can achieve the levels of strength, unity and determination that we want here.”
Club chief executive Jason Wilcox also added: “Michael has well received the opportunity to continue to lead our men’s team. When he played the role, we saw good results on the pitch, but more than that, an approach that is consistent with the goals, culture and history of the club.”
