Liverpool are now battling PSG to sign Salah’s replacement after a personal assessment

Liverpool are now battling Paris Saint-Germain to sign Magnes Akliouche, as they look to find a replacement for Mohamed Salah this summer.
Liverpool are battling to sign Akliouche
Although they still have the small matter of the Brentford game and Champions League football to confirm, Liverpool will be more desperate than most to forget this season.
They spent hundreds and broke transfer records last summer. It looked like the title would be theirs again, for the first time in the Premier League, in back-to-back seasons. More than £400m later, however, Arne Slot’s tenure has never looked more in jeopardy and Liverpool could still miss out on a place among Europe’s top flight.

So, it could be another summer of spending, especially as those at Anfield will look to replace Salah with the impressive France international in the coming months.
According to TeamTalk, Liverpool are battling PSG to sign Akliouche this summer. The AS Monaco striker impressed scouts during their first-person trial and looks set to leave the French club ahead of next season.
The Reds, of course, aren’t the only side who like it, though. Priced at £57m according to previous reports, the winger is regarded as a top name in the Premier League and is on the radar of Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle United and Manchester United, while PSG are watching his progress very closely.
For Liverpool, it’s all about doing the impossible and replacing Salah. Whether Akliouche is at that level is a question they have to ask themselves. Called “very good” by talent scout Jacek Kulig, the 24-year-old is still full of energy.
“Very good” Akliouche can reshape Liverpool’s attack
Liverpool will need to speed up their five stages of misery to accept that replacing Salah is an impossible task this summer. Instead, they should aim to reshape their attack with a different style of wide man. And that’s where Akliouche can come in.
The Monaco star has been involved in 18 goals in all competitions this season, but 11 of those have been assists. He is a creative replacement for the talisman Salah has become at Anfield, but that is entirely worth it when players like Alexander Isak are available next season.

It would benefit a player like Isak to play a talisman role at Liverpool, while the likes of Akliouche act as much needed creators. The Reds’ attacking dynamic has already threatened to take a turn for the worse this season, but that could all change with the addition of some creativity.
While beating PSG for potential player Akliouche would be unheard of, Liverpool should go ahead and land the Monaco star this summer.
