The next 9 places for the PGA Championship
2027: PGA Frisco (in Frisco, Texas)
The 2027 PGA will be the largest event to date held at the PGA of America’s new headquarters in Frisco, Texas, which opened a few years ago. PGA Frisco is supported by two championship courses, a short course, a large practice area and an Omni resort. The 2027 PGA will be held at Fields Ranch East, designed by Gil Hanse and Jim Wagner. The course already hosted the 2023 PGA Championship and last year’s KPMG Women’s PGA.
2028: Olympic Club, Lake Course (San Francisco)
The long-time USGA tournament champion earns his first PGA Championship in 2028, although he is no stranger to major events. Webb Simpson won the last of five US Opens there in 2012, and Olympic will host the US Women’s Open in 2021. Even bigger things are coming – like the 2033 Ryder Cup.
2029: Baltusrol Golf Club, Lower Course (Springfield, NJ)
It’s the first major return to the famed New Jersey course since Jimmy Walker won the PGA Championship in 2016, and the first time the Lower Course has hosted a major since Hanse finished revamping the AW Tillinghast design in 2021.
2030: Congressional Country Club (Bethesda, Md.)
The last time the Congressional’s Blue Course hosted a major, Rory McIlroy avenged the fall of the final round of the Masters by winning the 2011 US Open a few months later by eight strokes. Since then, Congressional has hosted the Women’s PGA Championship and the Senior PGA Championship. It will host another Women’s PGA in 2027 before the Men’s PGA in 2030.
2031: Ocean Course (Kiawah Island, SC)
The last time the PGA Championship was on the Ocean Course – which also hosted one notable Ryder Cup, the 1991 “War on the Shore” – 50-year-old Phil Mickelson moved back to become the greatest champion in history with his 2021 victory. The Ocean Course also hosted the 2012 championship, won by McIro Championship, won by McIro of the PGA.
2032: Southern Hills Country Club (Tulsa, Okla.)
Southern Hills is no stranger to PGA Championships, and will host its sixth in 2032. Tiger Woods won there in 2007, and Justin Thomas was the most recent champion, when he won in 2022 for his second PGA Championship title.

2033: Bethpage Black (Farmingdale, NY)
The PGA Championship returns to the big, bad Bethpage Black, the first PGA of America event since the 2025 Ryder Cup. It will be Bethpage’s first PGA since Brooks Koepka won in 2019.
2034: PGA Frisco (in Frisco, Texas)
See above. We told you there are big plans coming for PGA Frisco. The PGA Championship returns just seven years after its debut.
2035: Oak Hill Country Club, East Course (Rochester, NY)
The New York club has hosted majors and US Amateurs for decades, and this will be just the latest chapter. Koepka won the last PGA Championship there, which was held in 2023.
