2026 Fantasy Baseball In The Stolen Season Platoon Combination

Happy Wednesday, everyone, as we approach the 1/4 mark in Major League Baseball. We’ve highlighted a number of SAGNOF goals for everyone to kick off the season. Today, we’re going to take a look at a four-team tandem target, where if you manage your roster and waivers correctly by looking at the same combination you can help boost your stolen base total.

First up are the Rays teammates Jake Fraley again Johnny DeLuca. Fraley is listed against right-handed starters, and DeLuca gets the nod against southpaws, although DeLuca gets more starts against righties. None of these combinations will light your world on fire, folks, but this is SAGNOF. Finding steals and adding them to the waiver wire. So what does the Fraley/Deluca combo get you? Well, Fraluca is averaging a .260 batting average so far with 21 runs scored, 19 RBIs 4 homers, and 7 Stolen Bases. That’s not bad 3rd-4th OF 12 teamers in my book.

Next, we have an interesting combination of Royals Kyle Isbell again Lane Thomas. Well, maybe exciting isn’t the right word, but then again, if this platoon combo had been played since the start of the season, you’d have a good looking middle class OF on your roster currently doing better than Juan Soto. Again, it’s not a perfect team as Thomas has gotten some action against righties thus far. Here’s your Isbomas Combination line: .242 batting average, 20 runs scored, 4 Home Runs, 17 RBIs, and 8 stolen bases.

The quartet of Rockies have worked their way into most of the team’s situation in Denver, and you can look to the performance to build your lineup. On the strong side of the platoon, you have Troy Johnston again Jake McCarthyand on the weak side there is Jordan Beck again Brenton Doyle. Now, if we look at stolen bases, you have to focus on McCarthy and one of the right-handed hitters, since Johnston didn’t have a lot of runs in the majors, even stealing 72 bases in the minors from 2023-2025. I’ll take the combined number for this job from McCarthy and Doyle, since that’s where the stolen bases come from the most. We’ll call this a good looking combination as McDoyle has a combined batting average of .242, 25 Runs, 3 Homers, 18 RBIs, and 15 Stolen Bases.

Finally, we have a light hit and a connection that doesn’t have a Brewers combination David Hamilton again Joey Ortiz. This is the most authentic SAGNOF team we’ve looked at here. Hamiltiz compiled a .203 average, 29 runs, zero homers, 16 RBIs, and 11 stolen bases.

Here are some explanations of what incorporating these players into your lineup might look like over the course of a full year.

Fraluca .260/80/15/75/28

Isbomas .242/80/16/68/32

McDoyle .242/100/12/64/60

Hamilton .203/116/0/64/44

The Final Combine stat lines can be lower than the above for pinch-hitting and the occasional start against the same side pitcher who plays a role in the number, so we’ll take 75% of this as a possible real-life fantasy projection.

Fraluca .260/60/11/56/21

Isbomas .242/60/12/51/34

McDoyle .242/75/9/48/65

Hamilton .203/87/0/48/33

Will these platoons make it through the year? It is possible that some of these guys will even be on the list of the month. Does this apply to weekly leagues? Not at all. The point of exercising with SAGNOF is that there are options when certain guys are on the roster, especially in everyday leagues. I would use the McDoyle combo out there every day if I could make the roster spot work.

Here is this week’s Stolen Bases leaderboard

Speed Dials

0 for 6 to start the year, but we got our second Home Run of the season. They are taking a nap this week as I look to re-use these predictions as there are confirmed future starters still to be posted later in the season. I should have a new plan for next week.

For now, just stream McDoyle when he’s available!

As always, if you want more next week, when we don’t have direct contests, hit me up here or on Twitter @TheGreatKnoche
