The Tottenham player is now in talks to join RB Leipzig with Spurs ready to lose

RB Leipzig have emerged as the most serious suitors for the Tottenham star, with talks ongoing on the player’s side, according to a report.
Tottenham players who could leave this summer
If Spurs are relegated from the Championship, mass exodus is inevitable, but they may have to say goodbye to a few anyway.
While much of the focus will be on strengthening the squad, survival remains to be seen, with several current players expected to move on as part of a wider reshuffle.
Spurs are still reeling from a miserable Premier League campaign, with a battle for survival poised to define their season.
That kept them out of the table for a long time, and increased the scrutiny of some members of the squad who struggled to deliver consistent performances.

Tottenham are ready to sell the big-name player after getting the green light at a 50% discount.
He has lost his ‘untouchable’ status.
Cristian Romero is still one of the most important players in the club when he is available, but it has been reported for months that the Argentine could leave this summer.
Meanwhile, defensive partner Micky van de Ven has also established himself as a key figure, but the Dutchman is attracting strong interest from the likes of Chelsea, Liverpool and Real Madrid.
The Lilywhites could demand around £88 million for van de Ven, which would make him the most expensive defender in football history, but that will depend on their Premier League status.
Van de Ven and Romero are not the only defenders linked with an exit.
Radu Dragusin is in talks to join RB Leipzig from Tottenham as he is expected to bid
That brings attention to Radu Dragusin, who only joined Spurs from Genoa in 2024 for around £26 million.
.
The Romanian was signed as a young defender who could develop in the Premier League, but his game time has been limited due to injuries, competition and established relationships ahead of him.
Now, according to SportsBoom, RB Leipzig are in talks with Dragusin’s representatives and are expected to submit a bid in the region of £17 million – Tottenham’s fair price.
The Bundesliga side are long-term admirers of the defender and are eyeing a move as they look to strengthen their backline, but face competition from Roma and Juventus.
For Spurs, the situation is straightforward.
Although Dragusin is heavily valued elsewhere internally, the club are said to be open to offers that meet his value between £17 million and £22 million, especially as they look to manage the club’s balance sheet and create future employment space.
The 24-year-old has not started because of the presence of Romero and van de Ven, and his chances have often come as substitutes or in cup games.
His practice season was interrupted again when he suffered a long-term ACL injury in February 2025 that kept him out for months.
A major setback halted his momentum as he began to establish himself in the team, and has made it difficult for him to put himself in a good position since his return.
That context is important when assessing Leipzig’s interest.
The German club are known for targeting players with the ability to develop, and Dragusin still fits that profile despite a difficult spell in England.
From Tottenham’s point of view, the reported price of £17-22m suggests they are open to selling at a loss.
