Man Utd are “definitely” interested in the Newcastle star with a huge price tag revealed

Manchester United have confirmed Kobbie Mainoo’s new contract until 2031, but the Red Devils are yet to spend big in the summer transfer window.
Mainoo’s United contract extension comes amid calls to bring back Casemiro, who is set to leave the club despite his impressive goalscoring form.
The 21-year-old academy product has made 98 appearances for his youth team and scored seven goals, including in the 2024 FA Cup final win over rivals Manchester City.
A few months ago it looked as if Mainoo’s future at Old Trafford might be lost, having fallen out of favor under former manager Ruben Amorim and seeing August’s request for a loan move rejected.
A January move looked likely until Michael Carrick was appointed as head coach, with the midfielder returning to the starting line-up and playing a key role in promotion to third in the Premier League.
Mainoo’s deal was due to expire next summer. The midfielder’s performances have also led to England being sent back, with the Euro 2024 finalist looking for a place in Thomas Tuchel’s World Cup squad.
The next task is to tighten the ropes in the summer transfer window, United are planning to sign two new midfielders to play with their starboy.

Manchester United are interested in the Newcastle star
According to Fabrizio Romano, speaking on his YouTube channel, United are “definitely” interested in signing Newcastle star Sandro Tonali this summer.
The Red Devils have been heavily linked with Tonali and team-mate Bruno Guimaraes, who hailed the Italian as “unbelievable”.
“He’s been through a tough time in his career but he’s always been positive. He’s an unbelievable player and an amazing guy.”
Tonali, on the other hand, would like to move within the Premier League if he leaves Tyneside, which is encouraging for both Manchester clubs and Serie A players, confirms Romano.

The Italian has two years left on his contract, putting Newcastle in a strong negotiating position at the moment.
Tonali is represented by GR Sports, who own a number of Italian stars, and currently earns £120,000-a-week at St James’ Park.
United will also battle Man City for Bournemouth striker Eli Junior Kroupi.
