Big money heir Salah ready to move to Liverpool

Diomande is valued at around £87m by his employers, who do not want to sell but may have the power to resist Liverpool’s financial might.

The winner may be a young Reds fan, but the likes of Arsenal are also showing strong interest.

Why Isak would like Diomande at Liverpool

Diomande is still young, but once you’re good enough, you’re old enough, and the Ivory Coast player is already on the rise in the Bundesliga.

In all competitions this season, he has scored 13 goals and provided eight assists in 32 appearances, but it is his pace, power and all-roundness that can make such a difference in Salah’s place on the right wing.

Such a high-octane attack could make the difference, unlocking Isak’s world-class quality, quiet since his arrival last year.

Diomande was once known to few, but those who saw the young player in action were amazed by his power. “He was unstoppable even then”, said journalist Bence Bocsak.

He’s only getting better, and his pace and work ethic are on a par with Newcastle’s Anthony Gordon. This is a player that Liverpool are interested in, but Diomande could be the one to choose, who gives Isak a support act of a certain style, improving his skills.

Diomande is still developing, but has already shown that he has what it takes to progress to the Premier League, and his chances of achieving this will increase tenfold with the confident and sharp Isak at number nine.

Diomande will not be expected to waltz into Anfield and perform with Salah’s heyday. He is five years younger than the Egyptian when he joined Rome.

But Diomande can impress in the off, in his own way. Alongside Isak, this could be the start of something special for a Liverpool team desperate to return to the limelight.
