Crystal Palace are entering the race to sign another Iraola who is looking for a move to the Premier League

Crystal Palace have entered the race to sign Dino Toppmoller as a replacement for Oliver Glasner this summer, with Andoni Iraola in doubt.
Crystal Palace enter the race for Toppmoller
The Eagles will be forced to start over this summer, with Glasner facing the exit door at the end of his current deal. The Austrian will leave as the most successful manager in the club’s history and can still enjoy a well-deserved farewell to the Europa Conference League.
The Crystal Palace star with 8 assists should not be close to the XI behind Fiorentina
Crystal Palace are one step closer to history after knocking Fiorentina out of the Europa Conference League to reach the last four.
Crystal Palace did not make it easy, but they are in the last four of the competition after beating Fiorentina 4-2 on aggregate. Now they will face Shakhtar Donetsk for the last place they will get.
The South Londoners would like to focus on the success they are seeing on the pitch, but the reality is they have an impossible task of changing that success with their next manager this summer.
With that, a new candidate has recently emerged. According to Sacha Tavolieri, Crystal Palace have joined the race to sign Toppmoller, who has been a free agent since leaving Eintracht Frankfurt and is now looking for a move to the Premier League.
Yes, it wasn’t long ago that Glasner arrived as manager of Frankfurt and you have to say that approach worked at the time. Now, years later, Palace want to hire the man who replaced the Austrian at the German club in 2023.
Toppmoller can be a good Iraola alternative
In an ideal world, Crystal Palace would sign Iraola from Bournemouth this summer. In reality, however, they are likely to miss out on the Spaniard as the race between top clubs heats up for his signature.
That puts the Eagles back on the drawing board and possibly looking at Toppmoller. The German, who prefers to use a 4-2-3-1 formation, replaced Glasner once before and could do so again with similar success.

Toppmoller remains a powerful coach even after his spell in Frankfurt ended earlier this year. It is worth noting that he enjoyed a better points per game record at the German club than Glasner, despite winning the Europa League like his predecessor.
If Iraola is unavailable, Palace must adopt the same approach that eventually led to success in the FA Cup and European football.
