FSG have decided to sign an £87m winger like Ngumoha from Liverpool

Liverpool heading to the Champions League; namely, overturning a two-goal deficit against hosts Paris Saint-Germain.
But FSG knows that securing entry into next season’s edition is just as important. Given the number of problems Liverpool have faced in Arne Slot’s second season, few expect the Reds to improve, let alone beat Bayern Munich or Real Madrid to enter the final.
But the Reds are in a relatively strong position to do so, now just three points behind third-placed Manchester United in the Premier League.
They will certainly need that pay packet that comes with Champions League qualification, especially with Mohamed Salah leaving the club at the end of the season.
Rich heir Mohamed Salah wants to leave Liverpool
Salah is leaving this summer, and it will be painful for Liverpool’s signings. The Egyptian king was the undisputed star of the last decade on Merseyside, one of the true legends of the Premier League.
Replacing him will be difficult, and there is no mistake, but it is interesting to see the rumors coming from Bayern Munich’s Michael Olise.
The Frenchman has emerged as one of the world’s best attackers this season, but Die Roten have made it clear he is not going anywhere, with any deal expected to exceed the £125m fee paid for Alexander Isak last summer.
Instead, Liverpool can do what they do best and create a star for themselves.
According to TEAMtalk, Liverpool have made Yan Diomande their number one target this summer, focusing on the young Ivorian as Bayern continue to insist that Olise is going nowhere.
RB Leipzig do not want to sell the 19-year-old player, who only signed for Leganes in Spain last summer, but have set the price tag at £87m, and Liverpool are ‘willing’ to make a deal, with the player, who has admitted that he “wants to join Liverpool”, in addition to being open to a move.
Football FanCast sources revealed earlier this year that an agreement on personal terms was close, with talks already underway with the player’s camp.
Liverpool already have a top winger in Rio Ngumoha, but Diomande will partner the prodigy at the other end, while the Reds may
Why Yan Diomande could be Liverpool’s next Rio Ngumoha
In Ngumoha, Liverpool have found a young champion, and they can add to their ranks with Diomande, while the aging Salah and the one-dimensional Cody Gakpo leave much to be desired this season.
Liverpool signed Ngumoha for a small fee, agreeing a deal with Chelsea over a £7m transfer. If a deal were to be concluded, it would be very difficult.
It’s not a problem that FSG and Slot need to worry about, but they do need to get Diomande’s deal over the line, although that will come at a heavy price.
The youngster has scored 12 goals and provided eight assists in all competitions, having made 31 appearances. Not only is he a growing threat in front of the goals, but he has been praised for his commitment in different stages by journalist Bence Bocsak, who said, “His defensive performance in all the games I have watched is at a high level.”
Ngumoha has not played enough football in the Premier League to test his wide range of skills, but Diomande behaves in the same way, direct and lethal on the break. His running and strength echo that Anfield’s starboy, who brought the X-factor back to Slot’s.

This is the same for 17-year-old Ngumoha, who completed five saves and won two goals in his goal against Fulham at the weekend.
Flair and chair-lifting quality have been missing from the Slot attack this season, but Ngumoha is the answer, and Diomande could be.
Whether Liverpool complete the deal remains to be seen, but this is the one that the Reds will benefit from, replacing Salah with a star who may just carry the scent of Ngumoha.

The judgment day is near for Liverpool’s no-nonsense coach Arne Slot.
